See you at the tea party tomorrow.
Ron Paul is a non-entity. He won't garner 3 million of the vote (1%) let alone tens of millions. And he has no chance in hell of garnering hundreds of millions.
what is this, the racetrack? I'm not voting on who's most likely to win, I'm voting on who's gonna run the fuckin country. Feeble arguments about his supposed non-popularity do not discourage me.
No ineffectual President has ever been assassinated. Since Paul isnt even remotely controversial, he'd be fine in office.
It's more the matter of human propensity to shoot the peacekeepers. You know. Ghandi, MLJ, Kennedy, Pope JP2.
This is one of his bullshit positions. "Iraq is illegal, because I said so! But afghanistan is ok...also because I said so!"
I'm guessing. I don't know how he voted. But the fact that he's the only one on the stage with the credibility to say "I didn't buy this bullshit from the start" wins points.
Paul doesn't promote peace. He promotes whatever is of his fancy at the moment. Comparing him to Ghandi or MLK is an insult to Ghandi and MLK.

Better a Smart Ass than a Dumb Ass, amirite? Anyway, I'll definitely be voting for Paul come the primaries (since there is no Dem primary, for all intents and purposes)... we'll have to see once the general election comes around if I'm still swinging his way. Might not if Obama wins the Dem side.
Tis better to sit in silence and be presumed a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
I seriously hope Ron Paul gets elected. Because I think we'll be doomed if he doesn't become president. I'm not fucking kidding either. We need someone who can change our country. We need someone who will lead us in the right direction. As he said in a video. " We have allowed our nation to be overtaxed and over regulated and over run by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we're putting up with."
And you know what? He's right. The founders would literally shit their pants if they saw this today.
You know, when I was in school the other day, in Photography, they showed a few pictures and asked us which one was our favorite. One of them was a picture of Ron Paul. I thought it was my favorite. The teacher asked if anyone knew who he was.
No one raised their hands. Except me.
Hell, even the teacher didn't know who he was, other than his name. That's just sad, that I was the only one who knew who he was. Every time I mention his name, they always ask, "Who's he?" That goes to show you that not many people know about Ron Paul. AND THEY SHOULD.
People who have a brain will know that our nation has been quite corrupt lately. It is time we change it. Get rid of the IRS. They're a bunch of assholes who want nothing but money. The income tax is a joke. It was never officially legal in the first place, and even if it was, it shouldn't. Just another way the government can suck more money out of us.
And what makes Ron Paul and his supporters crazy? Based on what? What makes them crazy?? Is it because they wanna make a difference and actually change the country before we succumb to our own corruption? People who think he and his supporters are crazy, are assholes who don't want him to be popular. All of the politicians pretty much want him out. Why?
Because he's not like them, that's why! He's one of the few politicians who isn't corrupt as fuck. He's one of the few who voted against the Iraq War. That war is a joke, too, since it had nothing to do with 9/11.
Let's go over the guidelines, too.
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.
And somehow that makes him "crazy"? Horse shit.
And he's underrated too. At least on t.v. (Thank God we have the internet, because he's gotten pretty popular there). They don't really give him that much attention. Probably because he's a threat to the other politicians. He wants to change so many things. Like getting rid of the IRS. I haven't heard anyone say that before. That's what I like about him. He's got BALLS.
And his basic thing is less federal government and more states rights to determine their own laws...as this country was ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE! Because every time the feds have gotten into the act to 'fix" things they have ALWAYS made it worse. ALWAYS.
Did you know he wants to go back to the gold standard? Oh, I guess he must be crazy to go back to that old thing. Nonsense. If we had the gold standard, then we wouldn't have as much inflation as we do now. Because the gold standard has real value, and it's not simply a piece of paper you could easily print.
And people want to actually consider voting for Obama, Clinton, Romney, and Huckabee?? What the hell?
I have two words for Huckabee. FUCK HUCK. This guy's just another one of the many political creatures who just want it all. Why am I not surprised?
Then there's Obama. Man, what an arrogant and conceited asshole. And he's yet another one of those liars. I'm not gonna vote for him.
Hilary's a bitch. Period. I'm not gonna vote for a Clinton. Bill wasn't good, and Hilary isn't much better. I don't happen to like Democrats anyway. I'm not a big fan of Republicans, either. (Except for Ron Paul).
Romney's just a suck up and a flip-flopper. He's for one thing, than he's against it, like he was on abortion. He's just telling people what they wanna hear.
And don't vote for democrats just because you're a democrat and don't vote for republicans just because you're a republican. Vote for people who can help this country. What, you're a democrat, so you're willing to vote for any democrat no matter how corrupt and heartless they are? That's just stupid.
The rest of the candidates, I'm not even gonna bother going through those creatures. The point is, people should really listen to what Ron Paul has to say. Please everyone. Give him a chance. He may wanna change a lot of stuff, but that doesn't mean he's crazy. It seems like he's our only hope for restoring this country virtues. So look him up and actually consider voting for him. I know I'm voting for Ron.
I want things to change. I'm tired of the same old stuff.

Um... actually, going back to the gold standard is one of the few ideas of his that are really bad. Without the flexibility necessary for a global economy, our currency would stagnate and become even weaker on the global stage. Our inflation is under control, and has been for some time now. It's nothing we need to worry about at the moment. The Fed is doing a fine job keeping our economy relatively stable during the credit crunch. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
There's a lot of talk about how the Chinese market is booming, but much of that is speculative and state-sponsored overinflation of prices to make things seem better than they are. Eventually their market will self-correct, and then we'll need both the stability and flexibility (not an oxymoron, I promise) of our own currency market.

I don't believe any of that bullshit, I like him for reasons like this.

Yea, Kennedy wasn't a peacemaker. He brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. You know, that whole challenging the Cubans thing. I'm not the biggest JFK fan, but ineffectual he was not. And he was assassinated by a rapid Communist.
While I love MLK, he also was neither ineffectual OR a peacemaker. MLK brought strife, and was assassinated because of it.
I'm guessing. I don't know how he voted. But the fact that he's the only one on the stage with the credibility to say "I didn't buy this bullshit from the start" wins points.
His position is bullshit. And I'm sorry, there's simply not a person smart enough on the planet to challenge a retard on Pauls position and win. Paul is an imbecile.
Because smart ass comments make me look smart!
Would you like to get into this Imperator? Because, you're going to lose.
Paul was a fan of the Afghanistan invasion (which he still supports), yet against Iraq. His position is absolute idiocy. Iraq is illegal because there was no "declaration of war", yet Afghanistan is OK, despite the lack of a declaration of war. Paul voted for "declaration to use force" of Afghanistan, yet decries the "declaration to use force" in Iraq. If Paul had voted the same on both...I'd be ok. Yet, this worthless crap tries to tout his ridiculous record as the ONLY constitutionalist in the field. Paul is lucky he's running against worthless liberals who are terrified of having their positions revealed. Even with that said, he'll carry less than 1% of the vote.
Anyone who votes for Paul is stupid as hell.
Joe Biden is not change. He's more of the same.
That is completely idiotic to say anyone who votes for him is stupid. Go ahead and have fun voting for assholes like Huckabee or Obama or whoever you're interested in. I hope you like the same type of crap these jerks have been giving us, because you're gonna get used to it for a while. Some people complain that we've been having the same stuff. Well, if you keep voting for the same type of people, then you're gonna get the same shit. Vote for someone who's actually different once in a while. I would suggest NOT listening to the people who says he's wrong, because they're obviously a supporter of Obama or Hilary or someone rotten. I hate it when people vote for someone corrupt after they just got rid of someone bad in office. Why replace someone bad with someone just as corrupt? That's not the point of voting, dammit!
First of all, didn't Afghanistan start this shit? Maybe that why he supports it because they actually did something to us. What did Iraq do? Explain that.
And whoever said the Illuminati didn't exist? There is one! Or at least there WAS one. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one right now. And didn't HW and W. Bush say something about a "New World Order"? There's not one right now, but they're gonna try and make one. Actually listen to his speeches.
And furthermore, what the fuck does believing in the Illuminati have to do with anything?! They can believe in a giant frozen turd who gives out free candy and have people worship it, and I wouldn't care. In here, it doesn't really matter what they believe in, it's what they stand for that counts.
I hate it when people say that. When they say" He's a conspiracy theorist. He's a nut job." Which is complete bullshit. You people say it just to make them look bad. Why do you think a lot of people say Ron and his supporters are crazy? Because they don't want him to win, obviously! That's how desperate they are. They know he's a threat, and people who are so fucking brainwashed to the point of insanity, actually believe this crap. Just because someone's a conspiracy theorist, doesn't automatically make them nuts. In fact, some of them are right. But people just won't believe it, even if the truth is staring them in the face.
The Gold standard is the best way. We didn't have as much inflation as we do now. Then again, gold is much more rare than paper and it's hard to distribute that to a bunch of other people. What do you do? You use silver! Copper, iron, platinum, anything that has value. Not just paper. Remember the times when we used silver in coins? Not anymore.
Did I forget to mention he's against the War on Drugs? "Him, against it?? He MUST be fucking crazy!" Wrong again. The whole war on drugs is just a waste of time. Why? Because you shouldn't really outlaw some of these drugs. And you shouldn't go to jail at all for having and/or using them. (Unless you happen to beat up or kill someone while under the infulence of drugs). Remember Prohibition? Yeah, that didn't work out too well. Banning alcohol just made a bunch of crime syndicates, and it's happening here right now, because we've banned these drugs . Why ban something when it's just gonna cause more trouble? Make it legal. (Especially the ones that don't really mess you up that much anyways, like Marijuana). And people who are on it should seek a doctor, not be behind bars. You're not gonna make all drugs illegal. There will always be someone using it, so you may as well make it legal. Check out this link, and see what I mean. http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php
Oh I also forgot to mention, Ron didn't really ask for money or sucked up to people to get money. People donated him money! It's like they just threw their money at him. He's made quite a lot in such a short amount of time. Even more than some of the other candidates. It's amazing that he's so different than the others. It seems like they underestimated him. I hope Ron wins.
Yes, feel free to call me a crazy loon for supporting him. Call me gay or stupid or tell me to kill myself, I no longer care. (And besides, I won't bother reading and/or reply to those comments anyway , so you're really wasting your time). I've said what needed to be said. You can either take my advice and look him up and consider voting for him, or do what people mostly do, which is voting for the wrong guy.

Blah blah blah.
I plan on voting for Thompson. If Tancredo or Hunter were doing better at the polls, I'd vote for one of them.
All three are better candidates than Paul, and all three are more likely to win.
I think you're all stupid for voting for such a useless candidate.
First of all, didn't Afghanistan start this shit? Maybe that why he supports it because they actually did something to us. What did Iraq do? Explain that.
Afghanistan did not formally attack us. The best you can say is that they harbored al Quida, but hell, Iraq did that too.
What did Iraq do? Well they:
Ignored the ceasefire and shot at our planes every day for ten years.
Violated the terms of the ceasefire by not letting us examine their country.
Funded, trained, provided money to, and harbored al Quida. (Without countries like Iraq providing money, 9/11 would never have happened..so yes, Iraq was linked in an indirect way to 9/11.)
Funded suicide bombings in Israel, our ally.
Tried to execute a former President.
Had rebuilt munitions in violation of the UN resolutions...
Etc.
Your point fails, and you prove you have no clue what you're talking about./
Illuminati stuff
I didn't say any of that, so I'll assume that you deleted the original poster of that on accident.

Ron Paul is a conspiracy theorist because he appears in 9/11 Truther videos and lends his name to their cause to give them credibility. He rambles on and on about new world orders and north american unions. And most of all he continues to pull the liberal line that Iraq is an evil war and that we're over there killing innocent people for oil. Oh, and we got attacked because of our middle Eastern policy. Paul is clearly a conspiracy theorist, and his supporters are fools.

The gold standard did not stop us from printing money. We still printed money, because it just meant that each piece of paper was worth less gold. Part of the reason that we abandoned the gold standard is that countries were cashing in their money for gold and bankrupting us.
Did I forget to mention he's against the War on Drugs? "Him, against it?? He MUST be fucking crazy!" Wrong again. The whole war on drugs is just a waste of time. Why? This assumes that banning drugs is bad. If you take marijuana out of the equation, then the War on Drugs is nowhere near the money pit that people pretend. And with the way many of the drugs we banned hit their users, banning them is a good thing. Cocaine addicts cause crime, as do crack addicts, etc. Banning these drugs is not a bad thing...and the "people are gonna do it anyway" argument is stupid.

Ron Paul has a real chance. He just raised $6.6 million at the Tea Party. No one in history has raised that much in a day. And it's not just from a select few rich internet supporters. 100s of thousands donated on Sunday.
We cannot be put off by what others say. Ignore the media. You'll notice that they're always pushing estalishment candidates down our throats. You'll notice that the media are some of the biggest contributors to candiates like Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guilliani!!

I dunno... He's going to be riding the media and financial wave from his fundraising coup all the way to the Iowa caucuses, possibly to the New Hampshire primaries. If he can garner enough support in Michigan...(and he has a chance here due to the lack of a democratic primary)... only a few good showings early on can catapult a candidate into the forefront (See: Bill Clinton).
I've said before and I'll say again: A Ron Paul vs Barack Obama general election would be the coolest thing to happen to American politics since... ever.

informal logical fallacy - Argumentum ad populum
Which is entirely beside the point. I think what I said was that Keynsian economics was geared towards the real world. For example, in classical economics, wages change instantly along with the economy, whereas in keynsian economics 'sticky wages' take place and, like the real world, there is a delayed reaction to economic chages.
what you fail to realize is that they are all geared towards the real world. well they are supposed to be. Economics is not the study of making systsems of eocnomic policy, it is and began as the mens to study and anaylze and explain the principles of economics that EXIST. ECONOMIC TRUTHS. OBJECTIVE REALITY. Which only the Austrian school stays true to.
That makes absolutely no sense. As the American government formed the Anti-Federalists (what later became todays republicans, pro-state rights people) it was pretty clear that they wanted a confederacy over a federal, centralized government. Thus the STATE lovers over the federal government.Umm.. State lovers want less central government (less government in general). Retard.umm... wrong. People who love the state want ever mroe centralizatoin and action ont he federal or global level. What planet do you live on?
Actually the direct line party of the radical liberals in the democrats. ut obviously they are only mild civil liberals now.
You are using state in the wrong (American) sense of the word. I was referring to states in the proper use. As a synonym for government. Hnce my misinterpretation of your statement
I really think the government and the media should just come clean or else one of these days someone is just going to off all the shitty candidates with an AK47 or something, not that I'm giving anyone ideas because I'm sure it has crossed everyone's mind.
If they do rig the elections to Hillary, Obama or especially Edwards favor, I think they'll be assassinated where they stand. I'm not kidding, someone meaning the government has to come out and confess that this entire charade is bullshit, apologize for their sins and beg America nay, beg the world for forgiveness.
Really dudes, something has to be done to lift the media's barrier between those without the internet or the intelligence to see what is really going on, or I do fear the worst.
Um... actually, going back to the gold standard is one of the few ideas of his that are really bad.
Total friggin ingnorance!!! Our economy would be the only stabble economy on the planet if we had a gold standard. Global economy??? WTF??? Why should we be concerned about a global economy when we can't even balance our own budget. And what are we spending all that money on anyway. I don't believe in isolationism but I don't believe in mixing oil and water either. And that's what is happening in our country when we try to mix capitalism with socialism. We attempt to tax the rich so the poor can have a little more. But what ends up happening... the poor get hit harder by the taxes because they don't have as much financial cushion between them and bankruptcy. So redistributing the wealth just doesn't work. How about removing the social regulations that keep people from being successful in business.
And without an IRS taking most of our profits we wouldn't need the exhorbitant interest rates to stay afloat. Afloat just long enough to capsize. Private enterprise would once again be private. Who wants the friggin government looking in our financial books anyway... it's none of their business. We no longer live in a free society anymore, Ron Paul's ideas if implemented would just be a start in getting back to a lifestyle that is actually free. Freedom is dead in this country. We only have priveledges anymore... if you think that is a conspiracy theory you are just plain ignorant. The largest problem with the American way of life today is that if you don't conform you get locked up. That is not the definition of freedom... that is the definition of tyranny.
I live in Oregon and we passed an assisted suicide law. I don't agree with it but the state voted and it was implemented. Then the Federal government took our state to court to get the law revoked. WTF??? Read the friggin constitution guys... that is against the law. States have rights to pass their own laws. How can the federal government dictate to the states what they can and cannot believe? Because we are so ignorant to our own laws we allow it.
So all you idiots out there I have this to say. Stupid people usually will remain stupid by choice. They are all too often too lazy to research the facts and just parrot what they have been told by ignorant people with agenda's. Sometimes those people aren't ignorant... they perfectly understand the power of propaganda and know that if they repeat the lie long enough the blind public will start to believe it as truth.
It all comes down to people desire to control other people. And the most powerful way to control other people is with their livelyhood. So if you can convince people they need to be taxed then you will control how they will behave. Because if they don't pay, they don't live free. But they aren't truly free if they have to pay to live. I don't know if I can put it in any simpler terms than the last few sentences.
All I have to say to you idiots that think the Federal Reserve shouldn't be abolished is "UP YOURS!!!" The FED loans money at an inflated price and then charges interest to pay it back. There is no way we can get out of our national debt by borrowing money to pay it back. The gold standard would force everyone to live within their means... especially the government. But the best part about the gold standard is while the price of oil can fluctuate with interest rates a gold standard puts a crimp on how interest rates affect the dollar. Because guess what guy's... it can't! You won't pay $50 for $20 worth of oil... but that happens everyday with the FED. Why? because interest rates affect across the board... everything goes up! Built-in inflation. A gold standard kills inflation. Now the $20 worth of oil is artificially valued at $50. Then someone tacks on interest to that and sells it for $60. Get it? No?... not yet? Now the same oil that sold for $20 seems like a real bargain at $40 because interest rates have already made it look like it was worth more. So when we say that interest rates have been cut and the $60 valued oil is now sold at $40 we feel good about our business sense for saving money when in reality we just got took cause we just paid $40 for $20 worth of oil. That's how the FED works guys... you friggin idiots!
if ron paul wins he will be the one assassinated lol.
