This is for all the artwork that you do in your personal time. The artwork that is done on paper with simple tools and a sketchpad, or done in art class, not the work you do on the computer :)

Do paintings done on canvas count?
Here's a mixed media thing I did on paper a long time ago:

I agree (about pics and such) but other forms of art can be done on a computer. (eg: movies, music, ect.)

I agree that computer art is still art, but at least by completely ruling out computer art, it ensures that if you want to contribute to this topic, people have to actually walk away from the computer and draw something, rather than just scribble something down in MS paint and then slap it up here.

Plus, as an 'old fashioned' artist, I find it refreshing to be able to look at other people's 'old fashioned art' rather than looking at computer art all the time.

There's nothing wrong with computer art, don't get me wrong, I just enjoy looking at the old-school 'with my own two hands' type of art a little bit more.

Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here....

Yeah i have to agree there also it's good becuase it gets you away from the computor
also sometimes it's easier to make more artistic looking things on the computer with programs such as Photoshop Elements which i use in school, i know it's an easier way to add fade effects and shadows

I totally agree. There's nothing wrong with computer art, but there's still nothing like something you do away from everyone and everything and comes out really stunning and peaceful. And to the person that asked if paintings count, definitely. Here's a little painting of my own...lol, but it's evil! lol I painted what I'm terrified of:::clowns!! lol.

i am a traditional artist myself, but here of late i have been trying to branch into digital work. I have to tell you it is just as complicated to learn how to digital draw as it is to draw on paper. I start design 1 in january so it will be interesting to see if they can teach this old dog some new tricks. I admire people who can do digital art, like JohanL and a fw other choice newgrounders.

Here is a mixed media piece i did in highschool. It is color pencil and pen. critic it if you would like, i know the nose is jacked up but back then i was still struggling with anatomy.
