well yeah, you can only use filters that are avalible in mx2004, (like none) i use photoshop to get filter effects though.

not to be mean, but I think some people could be working MUCH harder on their parts. Mine took an hour or more to make. I KNOW you guys do better if you took your time. here's a small picture tutorial I whipped up to help with this.

your character will fall increasingly faster, so each frame you space him/her apart more until you reach the ground. but don't just let them hit it and be done with it. REDRAW. deform the character on the frame they hit the ground. and maybe have them bounce up a little to show impact. there are tons of ways to get a real feeling for force and mass.

well like, someone had an idea where someone would fall, and not die, but be disfigured, then pull out a gun ans shoot themselves. but basicly they have to come down from the top of the screen, and pan off to the left, in between they can do anything, as long as they die.

i think some people (pieman mainly) should really improve on their parts, i kno a buncha 11 year olds who can make a much more decent part. heres some tips:

1. that seemed like a 1 min job, it should really take about 30 min- 1hr. Try to give the character some shape, and if it must be a stick, make the lines smooth at least

2. use the right outline, its in the first post

3. Listen to Heliosstars tutorial

okok but i cant do the impact real good of making them bounce up and down so can i just make my guy land on spikes?

make the spikes roll in from the right side of the screen then before he hits them.

All right, I know someone discouraged me from joining because this is my first time using flash, but I'm working on mine now.
It's taking awhile, and if it's not good enough when I finish and won't be included, I'm fine with that - but I'm still giving it a shot anyway.
