Sharp Lines? 2007-11-18 10:52:11 Reply

Ok i've seen some drawings with sharp pointy lines at the ends.

and im wondering how do you get sharp lines? cos it makes the drawing look better

plz help

application? in flash, its the brush tool... you may need to mess about with the smoothing tool...

In applications like adobe flash, and photoshop, they usually have a tool that shapes your brush to format things like sharp lines, star lines, whatever you need!

the line options are here, setting the join to miter will make them more pointed, but you can also make them flat, or you can make your lines end with flat, or be rounded... or whatever. your options are here, so play around until you get the results you desire ;)

Brush tool. Muck around with the smoothing tool on Brush options to get the right look.

another thing i like to do for that style is to draw it with a lower level of smooth, and then go to modify > shape > smooth and do that twice, that gives it a nice look, too. sometimes when drawing with high smoothness the brush tends to spaz out ;P

Yes the line dissapears then re-appears on the same line you drew.
