Randomly getting logged out.

It's odd. I'll be going from page to page here on NG, when I'll suddenly get logged out.
My cookies are set up fine; this happens on no other sites.

I wondered if perhaps someone else was logging into my account, as I've received several very upset userpage comments spouting obscenities at me from members I've never heard of before. This might be explained by someone PMing them (can't verify this, as you can't check sent PMs) or leaving userpage comments on their page (again, can't check this myself, as there's no way to know where you've left user page comments) while using my account.
However, they haven't modified any of my movies (not that I can tell- they all appear to have their original swfs, author's comments, etc), I haven't noticed any responses to reviews not made by me, nor have I seen any reviews or BBS posts created on my account that I myself am not responsible for.
So this isn't likely. Who hacks into someone else's account and doesn't touch anything?

So this leaves me wondering. Is there something messed with my settings that's causing me to be logged out at random from NG?

Ya it happened to me once, but just once, as for the hate mail and comments, there probably just people being assholes. (I had 2 of them on my user page)

don't think so- they abusive comments are probably alts (check my userpage comments by hardyboz1) i logged on on my NG account on 2 computers and i didnt get logged off- if you do think theres a hack- change your password...

Well that's odd if I've ever seen it. I my self get logged out every once in a while also, but I believe that my Firefox is set to delete stuff on a schedule... I know my browsing history is, when I log off of XP though, I dont know about anything else as of now, since it doesn't seem to be a problem. But, usually when I get logged out, it happens on other sites as well... I would bet that if you're account (thinking it has been hacked in this instance) had sent a rude PM to someone, I would think they would PM you back, im reply to the original message, unless you have them on you're block list so they can't do that, then they would leave a comment on you're UP... Or have them on there at the time you send it, they they get taken off, since people tend to get mad at rude PMs, would write back on you're UP. I would think a way to check if you have commented on peoples UP is to google 'squeakytoad says: (and probably put 'site:www.newgrounds.com' after that for NG only)' as that is what is in the title of all UP comments... But, having done this my self, will probably turn up flash/audio replys... All of that probably doesn't have a thing to do with the logging, but hey, you never know if one of them is a hacker and just did it to mess with you :\ But, besides all this talk of hacks and such, maybe people just get pissed at BBS posts :\ And, to have a hacker get you're account and not touch a thing is very odd.

Well that got long, but just answering all parts as best I can...

And, if you have Firefox, I would think that the logging out could be found through here:
Open Firefox > Tools > Options > Privacy > Private Data > and the box with 'Always clear my private data when I close Firefox' part may be checked... But if it is only NG... Then I have no idea...

If you really stat to think it is a hacker... I would guess trying to change you're pass... But right after you get logged off. as that may just be him getting on you're account, and when he is on, probably won't notice a pass change...

As I said, I doubt it's a hacking issue.
Also, I've changed my password several times in the past, and have a very secure one, so it's doubtful.

As for the Firefox settings, everything's normal, and I'm not getting logged out of other sites here. This is also happening at least twice a day now.
