Called in sick for work...

Well I just called in sick for work today because I got a bad cough and a runny nose that I have to blow every 3 mins (which would make my job impossible as I have to operate the main till at an amusement park), and the nose blowing isn't some 2 second tissue wipe, everytime I come up with about 1/5th of a cup of mucus. So I called in sick and they said I require a note from a doctor otherwise it'll count as a no-show. I mean really why is a doctor's note neccesarry. I don't go to a fucking doctor everytime I need some tylenol and hot soup.
When you call in sick for school all you gotta do is get your mommy to tell them you won't be in and that's it and school's more important than a shitty job at an amusement park.
So now I got two no-shows (for a previous time I called in sick without a note), and I think if you get 3, you get a pin (and 3 pins result in being fired I think).

So yeah that's pretty gay, what's your opinions on this doctor's note requirement thing, NGers?

Not where i live, you can only miss like 5 unexcused days or you get expolution or even investigated for skipping.

No, they need a signed note from the doctor, 90% of the time they actually call the office to confirm if the appointment actually took place.
