On education in my school.

I'll make this sort n simple.

Black people: Many are decent, but definitely the most polar race i.e. though many are good students they have the most people who are at the bottom end of the school (bad grades, poor behaviour, etc..)

White people: Same as blacks only higher up on the social totem pole, so to speak. Whites generally are scoring above blacks and latinos, and at my school out of the few kids who I would consider really intelligent they're about fifty percent white. Out of the white kids the European whites are far more intelligent than the "native" whites here, but we do have the ghetto white kids who act black and the redneck white kids, I hate them both with a passion.

Asian people: This refers to east asian type people (japanese, chinese, vietnamese, etc..) I don't know where the stereotype comes from. There are a lot of Asians at my school who act ghetto. The ones who aren't ghetto are just average or maybe a little above average. The smart ones are generally female, but this goes for every race.

Indian people: No, not the native american ones.... Definitely the smartest ethnic group they all seem to get straight a's and value education, I've yet to see one dumb Indian kid.

Middle Eastern people: I don't really know, there are only a small handful at my school, but they seem to be smart.

Latinos: About the same as black people, but I haven't noticed any really smart ones, or even just straight A student capable ones. Maybe this is because there are a lot more black people than latin people at my school.

So there. That's my rant. This wasn't meant to be racist, just an observation.

That's generally my experience and I'm sure this would hold true for most people but I think it's more to do with 'conditioning' than it does genetics. Blacks have an anti-intellectual culture where often getting educated is considered 'selling out/ acting white'. Indians tend to value education highly and you'll see this demonstrated when you travel there and are baffled at how many of them can speak english BETTER than you (bar the accents) despite it being their second language. I didn't actually know any middle-easterners so yeah I couldn't really judge them though it wouldn't surprise me because immigrants tend to excel academically due largely to familial expectations.

yah i have alot of those similar stertypes at my school, all of my smartest freinds are asian, the stupidest are black and latino, im not racist but this is really what its like

Accurate for the most part, but the smartest 3 people were a black guy, a latina girl, and an asian girl. (@ my old high school)

Actually, I found you wrong on many basis. First off for every rule, there is an exception, even this one (xD) second, stereotypes are 99% of the time flash. Thirdly, my school is not like that at all. Fourthly, your genes should only have a minimal effect on what you can do or want to be. If all your peers stopped acting ghetto, smart, unintelligent, etc... your results would change drastically. And yes I know quite a few "dumb" indian people.

My school didn'h have its Asian or Indian people at the top, it had a bunch of white people at the top. But other than that, its pretty much accurate. Course we didn't have very many of the Asian/Indian groups. Or many foreign borns. Also, pregnant women tended to do very poorly I noticed.

Also, the anti-intellectual culture was very evident among many people, especially the more poor ones (hmmm, I wonder why they/their family are/is poor...)

Actually in Chile you can still clearly discern between people who are racially white, those who are definitely more Hispanic in appearance, and those in between. I don't seem to recall any significant difference between the smartiness of kids from each side of the racial spectrum.
Some kids are born stupid and some kids are born clever. But most kids turn stupid or clever by the way they're raised.
It's social, not racial.

It's not like these things are inherent in peoples' races, so it isn't really stereotyping. There are explanations for these kinds of things.

Probably has something to do with the search for cultural identity in what is essentially a white country. And the well-established culture that a large amount of minorities and those faux-ghetto white kids you mention are drawn to is one that essentially encourages bad grades and poor behavior. Also, depending on where you live, there might be a general socio-economic difference between races.

Whites generally are scoring above blacks and latinos, and at my school out of the few kids who I would consider really intelligent they're about fifty percent white. Don't really know why the white kids are scoring higher, it might be a slight socio-economic advantage. As for the faux-ghetto honkies, I'd say they're just misguided. Redneck kids are both.

Interesting. At my school, a lot of the Eastern Asian kids are among the smartest, and many of them are quite stereotypical. The same generally goes for Indian kids. Depending on how far back they're immigrated, this is a cultural thing. Like you said, they value education. In many Asian countries, children are educated almost militaristically.

Different kids have different levels of intelligence, regardless of race. Which probably explains all this more than any of my explanations, but the slight trends seem to point to these things. Also, race and ethnicity's effect on a kid's schoolwork and intelligence depends on how much of their original cultural heritage is actually ingrained into them.
