I have i guitar and i have no idea how to record ny songs, is there is any way to plug my guitar directly into the computer (Fender stratocaster)? If not, what are your ideas to record me for classic rock and metal?

Get an audio jack adapter (not familiar with the exact term). Hook your "big" jack to the adapter, then hook the "small" end to the soundcard. You can record the guitar sound via the microphone input of your computer. ^_^

Oh, and it would be good to set the volume of the mic in before recording. You might wreck something if it's set too high.

Hey... well I know of one way you can do it. If you have some money to spare. And it will set you up for future projects and progression.

I bought a Presonus Inspire 1294 recently.... and what it basically does... is takes the sound from it's two microphone and two guitar jacks and feeds it into the computer.

It comes with software and instructions on how to set it all up and record either audio from a mic or guitar into your computer.

The cool thing is, you can rig it up with a program like Cubase... and with special plugins you can give the guitar all sorts of cool effects that you would normally need a good AMP or pedal for. It works very well and I'd recommend it.

There are hundreds of other products just like this one. Go to your local proffesional music store and ask around... they may be able to help you out.

If you are looking for a cheap solution... just get the right adapter so you can plug your guitar into your "line in" plugin (usually blue) on the back of your computer. Record with a free program called Goldwave

Hope this helps.
