Hey there. Today's chat news report.
Op friction is up today, notably between EveningShift and Hannetz. ES referred to Hannetz as a 'dirty swede' and Hannetz retaliated with the statement that ES was a 'dirty old man'.
Semi-regular Melissa_W wishes to announce that her cat is high on catnip. And that StewieG's head is football-shaped.
The NG chat report is getting good feedback, a lot of people seem to like it.
n00bs are STILL using color codes. '+c' (no formatting) is frequently being set.
A n00b by the name of 'iiqiiv' wishes to state that the 'Sock Crew' will rise soon. Everyone else is simply pointing and laughing.
A statement from a semi-regular -
<KLoWnGoD> All the fruit clocks juice each other at night
That's all from me for now. Stay tuned. Updates later.

Assuming you were the one who posted the other thread about chat reports, why the hell didn't you bump that thread instead of creating a new one?

Although Hannetz is dirty he's the most awesome swede in the world. That wasn't friction, it was just a statement of Hannes's bathing preferance.

The idea being that if I simply bumped that thread, people may not read down to the next report, assuming that it was just replies. Therefore I thought it would be a better idea to make a thread each day.

The theory is good but flawed. Imagine if War_machine created a new thread each day to post sig pics, or if Newgrundling made a new topic each time he updated his Vote & Power FAQ. Just keep bumping the old thread.

They are different. War_machine's sig posts can be easily managed and viewed in one thread. Threads that require dates, times, and details would be a lot better off with a post each day. Therefore I'll stick with a thread per day.

I disagree. Authors update their progress here yet they only revive their old threads, if they ever update.

You can do whatever you want but eventually you'll have your topics locked or be banned.

OK, after considering, I've decided that ultimately, seeing as most of the users favour the bumping technique, that I will us it. I'm only doing this for you. Convenience be damned, I guess.

Uh, yah...... I don’t want to be a prick but the mods don’t really like it when people “bump” for no reason......

if he actually has something to report, then it doesn't count as "no reason".

OK, idea. What if I went for a mix of the two techniques?
Weekly threads. One per week, kept bumped with new reports. Then at the end of the week, I save the thread to another website or my HD or whatever, and start anew on Monday morning.
Opinions?

At the same time a lot of mods will randomly decide that something is a bannable offense. The best way to not get banned is to think about what a Mod might ban you for, which includes an arbitrary decision based on content.

News update:
Regulars are now getting annoyed with the unchecked lamers in the channel. OPs are frequently idling, leaving people to flame and be annoying.
More than one of the users is of the opinion that some ops need to be done away with, and other OPs appointed. An email to Wade regarding this matter has not been ruled out, and will be sent if this problem gets any worse.

News report:
The news report is going down a goddamn storm. This could be very cool indeed.
Some strange events have been playing out today on the NG room.
StewieG is still being a total retard, earning him the Chat News Lamer of The Week award. Well done Stewie.
Bobby_Jenkins, another semi-reg, entered the room, talked to herself for five minutes and then shut up.
We had a cheese lamer in at around midday, GMT time. By this I mean a guy who just said things about cheese all the time. The Ops were, as always, simply idling. This is getting to be a great concern for users. More reliable Ops need to be appointed, and current, unreliable Ops need to have their Op privileges taken away, as is the general opinion.
The matter of whether to make new threads each day, or keep it one-threaded, as a subject of debate. We currently have a 2-on-2 deadlock. More later.

Another report. Where do I find the time?
Warpunk is becoming more and more hated. Kicking people for no reason and such.
[6:15pm] <Rabid-1> im high
[6:15pm] * Rabid-1 was kicked by warpunk (Drugs are bad.)
[6:15pm] <snaziksoyka> hahaha
[6:16pm] * snaziksoyka was kicked by warpunk (Laughing is bad)
Cally, an ex-op, returned to the room today, and bitched at me for linking this BBS post and then talking about it. Due to my recent nick change to Infinik, she mistook me for a n00b and insulted me for it. Man, have I lost respect for her.
Currently in the room... warpunk being an asshole. Snaziksoyka talking crap... Kraut just kicked a stupid horny teen.
And would it kill you all to comment on these posts?
