Games That Make You Go Holy Shit

This is gameplay-wise, so I don't want "Sephiroth kills Aeriths (or whatever the hell they are called). I just want to hear about some really awesome parts of games that made you go HOLY SHIT.

One part in a game that struck out to me was fighting the splicers in Bioshock. It wouldn't have been as cool if it hadn't been playing the Waltz of the Flowers from the Nutcracker. Maybe I was just tired and losing mind, but that scene emanated awesomeness. I also got a strange Clockwork Orange vibe from the whole classical music+violence, which is no problem with me.

Runners up include any boss battle in Shadow of the Colossus and leaving City 17 in Half-Life 2.

The strider fight at the end of Half Life 2: Episode 2. When the music came in, and you're driving around, shooting striders, so good.

Spoilers about the Call Of Duty 4 Campaign here, it will ruin it so i you haven't beat campaign dont read on!

Call of duty 4, The last Marine mission when you pull the pilot out of the crashed Cobra and get her back to the Osprey or what ever and the nuke lands in the city.

I was literally in shock that the game ended that way. But, I was equally shocked when the Russians launch nukes on America's East coast killing 41 Million People... It was crazy.

The final sequence of FEAR, where you are running from apparitions that not only scare the shit out of you, but can actually kill you. I was scared to shit, but also got a really good gameplay vibe from the feeling of desperation with the complex falling apart around you and phantom creatures grabbing at you from every corner.

That guy maybe the Devil. But that gives him no excuse to use Lefty Flip and Double Notes at the same time.

Doom II, easily my favorite game. I know that it's beyond out-dated, but it truley is the best there will be. There is something about being chased by demons and then gunning them down that other games haven't been able to copy correctly.

I can't put my finger on it, because of the old graphics, but doom feels more realistic than most fps games.

2nd time when that telicenetic bug hatches and holds you and alex in the air and sticks its toung out to taste you or what ever ( the best and most exciting scene in video game history imho)

President getting executed is one of the most intense scenes. Ever. In video games.
