Do all of the preloaders NewGrounds provides use AS2 ? I was looking through them and it appeared that they did... Is there any chance of getting a preloader that uses AS3 anytime soon. The reason I ask is because i need a preloader for a submission that uses AS3 and I don't think the ones on the site will work with it. If none of them use AS3, i think one should be made...

i think it should work since it does say works for flash 6 and up- have you tried?

I put one in an AS3 document and it came up with 7 errors.

As far as i know none of them will work with AS3 primarily because the "on (realease)" script [and the like] for buttons is now different. Im sure other parts of the scripting are also different now for as3 although you would have to ask about specifics in the flash forum.
Good suggestion tho it would be nice to see one made. I wonder if the pre-loaders without the play button would work.

Neither of them work because of the "_root.load" function and some other things.

I keep getting 6 errors and this message in the output window...
"WARNING: Actions on button or MovieClip instances are not supported in ActionScript 3.0. All scripts on object instances will be ignored."
None of these seem to work with AS3... any sugestions for modifying the code, or recomendations in general?
