I was wondering, how can I get money with my music. With flash it's easy, just sponsorship or MochiAds or so... But is there something like this in the music world?
If somebody has something could you please post a link with the site or whatever it is. If the thread is really old could you then PM me?
Thanks =D

You might get royalties when a aflash artist uses your audio and makes money (I highly doubt it, which brings up problems with the system...), but other than that, you cannot make money with your audio through NewGrounds.
You have every right to sell your audio posted here, but other artists can also take your music, alter it, and sell it with your permission.

If you're good enough perhaps a label will sign your music and they will release your stuff but it isn't exactly enough to live off.

Well, if you search around using google you'll find a few sites. Other than that, and what they said above there's no other way. Unless you make an album of more than 5 songs, make a few copies, post previews of the music, put em up on ebay and advertise.

What sites are you talking about?
Also, I didn't know 6 or more was the magic number...I'm sure there have been albums with less.

Yeah, well it is recommended to have 5 or more(heard from inside source). My cousin's uncle is a famous singer(in the Philippines) so I get info from him also I have some connections :) but i dont want to use them. one site is myspace strangely. it doesn't actually sell, but you can have an artist profile and put your music up,and if you want it to be non-downloadable then you can. there are other sites I can't think of right now -_- I'm sick

remember the flash you audio is used in can be viewed on that audio page, of you find you music bing used in a flash that is advertising, you might want to go ahead and demand 10% or 15% royalties on it (your creative commons copyright alows you to do this since the free use specification applies only to non-comercial use).
The best to make money on the Audio portal is to publish a CD and then upload a few select tracks to the Audio and put a link in the comments section where people can buy your CD. If your music is good enough people will buy it, worked for these guys. If nothing else putting your music on the audio portal will you better coverage as an artist and help you get signed.

You can still download "un-downloadable" tracks well easy. So easy it's just unbeleivable.

tunecore.com. You have to pay to get your album online, but it's the easiest way I know to get your album on iTunes, etc...

Chances of that are slim. There are hundreds of thousands (not a jocular estimate) of amateur artists out there, and there's little chance you'll get noticed unless you have connections are pay to get connections (TAXI, etc...).
What's the name of your sponsor, man?

i post to share man.
i'm not gonna charge for a song.
i'll make up a cd people can buy sure, but i'm still gonna share.
i guess money dosent matter too much, i dont make the music for that, i do it for the people that like my shit. gettin some props on some hard work is worth more money than most people are willing to pay.
