to be honest - i never tried dnb. I just hate the genre so much that considering replicating such a bad commercial genre isnt even an option in my mind..

I sitll love paragon's stuff tho - but he doesnt really do dnb - its more vg - and i love vg - and when the vg contest comes around I WILL CRUSH YOU ALL!

classical versus metal or goth could be cool - yaaa classical vs. goth - theyre both rather instrumental :)

Awww fuck yea~!!! THis is by far my best DnB song ive ever accomplished. Let the acidic basses tear into your flesh with a fury that only this song can execute. Its well over 7 minutes long, took me a week to make, and jumps genres constantly.

Im gonna work on another DnB song and a pair of ambient songs. blah.

Uhh.. I've got a song that is honestly a bit of both. It's called Colour Grey (I would link, but I don't want this post to be mistaken as my submission), and I'm leaning towards putting it in Ambient.

Advice?

Yeah, I'll probably try and come up with something for both, seeing as I haven't really produced any "outstanding" music in either genre (or in any genre for that matter). Should be fun. In fact it has to be fun, according to rule ten.

ill take one of my 26 minute ambient bore fests, split it in half, add a dnb numba in the middle, take another numba and slow it down and conclude it with some drum loops, then save it at 56 kpbs and dare someone to sit through it

DnB in it's current state as well as all of it's predecessors, incarnations, and variations are all good, so yes.

The official word would be "Jungle/Drum'n'Bass" because the two words mean about the same thing.
I don't think we'll be dividing different styles from each other, we're not professionals, remember. :)
