I just found this and almost came. Like wow, you realize this makes you the king of cool. You should get a NG t-shirt.

Anyway, someone posted up asking about if you'll be customizing all the windows icons, like the my documents, my computer, recycle bin etc. I'm wondering if you will be too. I'm also hoping that you do something with the mice, and perhaps even an alt + tab alternative.

And if I may just interject a small opinion on the start menu thing....I know that personally it would be annoying for my start button to be moved over from the side of the screen. I don't know if that's the case with yours, but if you look at the standard XP skin, I'm thinking just replace where the windows flag is with the angry faic, still inside the button, with start next to it.

And for the font war between you and mind chamber, why not just use the font mindchamber suggests, and then include the font with it. And if the program doesn't let you include a font, then just make the file to download a zip file with the installer for the skin, the font, and a readme file telling the users to install the font first so the skin can use it. But you know....that's just my suggestion. Also you should include some key newgroudns things....like the well known old school preloader look....every one knows that, or the phrase, everything, by everyone.

Lastly...do you have a default desktop image to go with it?

That's why you put the theme and the font in one zipped file, along with a 'read me first' Text file saying to download the font.

well, there are a few idiots on NG that wouldnt read it and theyll destroy theirs windows .. :I Dont think i havent thinkin about it, maybe ill do it like that. there has to be some readme file for newbies with pc anyway.

Maybe set it to Ariel then, and include the font, and leave it open to the users to switch the font to the right one themselves later. You could say for the vintage feel, change it's font to this by doing -insert instructions-

And honestly, if their to newb to know how to apply a skin, thry don't deserve it, and should have asked parental permission before surfing NG. Fuggin newbs,

If alot of admins really like this, maybe tom will be gracious enough to host the file when it's completed on the server and link it somewhere on the site....maybe like a news post. I know alot of people that are avid newgrounds but never frequest the BBS and would therefor never learn of it. It'd be great of it were promoted on the site, maybe a press release note in a news post by wade or tom or something?

i think they wouldnt.. there are lot of fans that do things like this and i think the admins ( except mindchamber and stamper ) dont even know that there is something like this.. and im doin this for fun..

You said that your the software your using is free though.....right? Well, if on special request do you think that perhaps you could send the project files or what ever the software has associated with it so that other's could make little mods to it to suit their own preferences on little details, like fonts, or stuff, if they have the program? I could, I'd change the start menu back to windows classic, cause that's what I'm using. And I stubbornly refuse to use the XP luna skin and theme.

I actually thought it was a great idea. Until you Im'ed and offered me half the profits to shut up so you can illegally sell an NG skin, using our templates and a free program.
