Trying to listen to Slipknot's new album , not really into it.
So foobar had a fundraiser and now it's coming to android and iOS. Shit can't be wait.

The new Black veil Brides was also kind of mediocre.

They just sort of grew on me after a while ,just the fact that the music was fusion Jazz and progressive rock together couldn't really go wrong with that one..
Approximately how gay would it make me if I admitted to listening to Meghan Trainor's EP about a dozen times on end? I'm asking for a friend of course.

how many of you guys are using trakt.tv? i know most of the cinema club guys are using letterboxd, but trakt actually scrobbles like last.fm and is pretty superior in most regards
there's even last.fm-like charts
The only downside I see from it is that you have to download or torrent shows and movies first with a media player plugin in order to start scrobbling properly but it's a good alternative to netflix or imdb.

You can check-in manually on the site, use XBMC to play Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/DVDs/BDs/etc, or other apps such as iTunes.
XBMC has a pretty good looking interface, I'm having a rather hard time going on whim what sort of thing I should listen to next rather going than by going by educated guessing on what it would sound like.
So here are some of the artists i've got from the past 7 days Group X isn't really even that great and Slipknot is kind of mediocre.

Seems only fair that I also listen to the other songs by Metallica besides One by starting with on their recent box set.
bumping this thread to remind everyone that if you don't listen to Guided by Voices you're a big fat lame-o

with the first album like you would any other artist
nah but really "Bee Thousand" is the usual starting place (and ending point) for people. I'd say start with that and then feel free to explore. my tippy top 5 is "Devil Between My Toes", "Propeller", "Bee Thousand", "Sandbox", and "Universal Truths and Cycles". Once you get through the GBV discography, you can move on to Robert Pollard's solo releases and his 15 side projects and eventually consume the 2,000 songs he's released over the years.

It's not like our friendship is based on anything meaningful, like common interests or shared points of view
It's strictly about the sex
Also I don't think I've had any particularly high compatibility with anyone in any kind of test so

Yeah okay but none of those are Alien Lanes which is their actual best album.

Pollard's ability to just constantly and seemingly effortlessly crank out perfect little tunes is incredible. The only comparable songwriters I can think of are Stephen Merritt (circa 69 Love Songs) and Sir Paul fucking McCartney himself.
