i haven't heard it, should i bother?

Well probably not, it's much much more There Is Love In You than Rounds for example. It's got more Love Cry than My Angel Rocks Back And Forth for example. I miss the chopped up guitar lines and vocal samples and things.

But it's still aight I guess if you liked love cry.

I never bothered listening to Neutral Milk Hotel before. Dunno why. Heard Rainn Wilson talking about them on the Nerdist so I decided to listen to them. I'm just kicking myself.

At first I was put off by the simple techno beat at the start of the first song but it really develops into something. I'm currently listening to Lion and getting some mad Boards of Canada vibes. Dat chinook, man.

I'll have to check it out. I've never been a huge fan of Four Tet, I've always preferred his work with Fridge.

I've been really digging this album Wind's Poem by Mount Eerie. I was dicking around on last.fm and came across them on the radio.

Elverum is incredible, anything he's involved in is gold. You should definitely take a listen to the stuff he did under the name of The Microphones, it's beautiful.

You and me both.

Do you know of any decent places to download jazz albums? I've been having a bit of trouble finding good quality downloads of anything that isn't a compilation album.

I've yet to go to a gig on my own. At least I have a friend or my sister who will always like to go to live shows that either of us consider going to so I easily solve my problems there. Going to a gig on your own feels the same as going to the cinemas on your own.

Almost the same. But the thing is, you go to a cinema and sit in silence and watch the film anyway, but at a gig there's lots of downtime between support acts and such, and also it's always better to have someone to dance with.

I only have two more planned live shows for the year and that will be it and both are planned with a friend of mine. Kinda sad how the last two months of 2011 had more going to more live shows than I have for the whole of this year. More reasons how I've found this year to be awfully quiet.

That sounds horrific.

It seems I may actually have to start buying my jazz music, which I honestly doubt will be much easier.

Do you have any sorta store like Barns and Noble? Everyone around here seems to have a surplus of jazz cds that they sell super cheap, like bargain bin cheap

So much for actually trying this once in a while. I at least see Radiohead and The Avalanches on your charts so that will count something for us.

I've been listening to few 80's metal bands quite a lot. Mainly Manowar, MegaDeth and Anthrax. Those sort of bands have always been up there amongst my all time favourites but I never usually listen to them this much.

Bands like these bands were, as far as I'm concerned, the peak of metal.

There are times that I'd probably agree with that. Depends on what bands we're comparing. The genres as a whole though, I probably like equally.
