Thanks, I've been feeling pretty jazzy lately.

Do you have any recommendations? I've really been trying to expand my jazz library this past couple of weeks.

that depends entirely on what school of jazz you're interested in, there's such a variety. for mellow stuff i would recommend stan getz, coleman hawkins, the oscar peterson trio, dave brubeck, lester young etc. but yeah tell me what type you're into and i'll probably be able to recommend something

Some others you might want to check out are Grant Green, Roland Kirk, Wes Montgomery, George Shearing, and Art Blakey. And for that Bossa/latin style check out Atonio Carlos Jobim

Guess I'll be checking out Coleman Hawkins, Atonio Carlos Jobim, and George Shearing since they're the ones I've yet to listen to out of those lists.

Thanks, guys.

Cool, cool. These tracks are my favorite by them:
George Shearing - Summertime
George Shearing - I'll Be Around
Jobim - Brazil
Jobim - Wave

Well probably not, it's much much more There Is Love In You than Rounds for example. It's got more Love Cry than My Angel Rocks Back And Forth for example. I miss the chopped up guitar lines and vocal samples and things.

But it's still aight I guess if you liked love cry.

I never bothered listening to Neutral Milk Hotel before. Dunno why. Heard Rainn Wilson talking about them on the Nerdist so I decided to listen to them. I'm just kicking myself.

At first I was put off by the simple techno beat at the start of the first song but it really develops into something. I'm currently listening to Lion and getting some mad Boards of Canada vibes. Dat chinook, man.

I'll have to check it out. I've never been a huge fan of Four Tet, I've always preferred his work with Fridge.

I've been really digging this album Wind's Poem by Mount Eerie. I was dicking around on last.fm and came across them on the radio.

Elverum is incredible, anything he's involved in is gold. You should definitely take a listen to the stuff he did under the name of The Microphones, it's beautiful.

You and me both.

Do you know of any decent places to download jazz albums? I've been having a bit of trouble finding good quality downloads of anything that isn't a compilation album.
