A combination of watching The Office and having Gaslight Anthem's new album on repeat.

I can't believe it's actually this fucking good. I listened to their song Carried Away because it was free on iTunes and thought it sucked, so I wasn't expecting much from the rest of the album. I think I might like it more than their first. Constant Conversations in so damn good.

Just got back from seeing Deftones and System of a Down. It was pretty great, not gonna lie. Deftones did an awesome set and even played a track off their new album. It sounded almost like a mix of Shoegaze and Mogwai, so I'm down with that. They also played quite a few tracks off Adrenaline which is one of my favorites.

I wasn't expecting much from System of a Down. I'm not a huge fan, but they were not bad. They opened up with Prison Song and had this really awesome lighting effect each time they did the opening riff. Was quite a site. My 8 year old self would have flipped a shit over seeing System of a Down live.

Man I'd still flip a shit at 17. Love SOAD but I've never gotten the chance to see them live. Where did you see them?

Yeah it was awesome, here is a video of SOAD opening at the show. Saw them at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. Pretty interesting venue, it's sorta half covered/half out-doors.

I pretty much went specifically to see Deftones. I was going to see them when they came by Boston last time with Dillinger Escape Plan and Mastodon, but ended up not being able to go :\

I used to love System of a Down and would still kill to be at that show lol :P Well, I still like SOAD but it's nothing like how I was when I was 14/15. They were the only band I actually cared for during those times.

Man that opening light effect really was cool.
I hope they play some UK gigs soon, would be incredible to see them live I think.
Tickets would probably be quite expensive and sell pretty fast too though.

Also check out this sweet as fuck album by Sore Eyelids, you won't be disappointed.

Also how do I enjoy Purity Ring more? I listened to the whole album and it was okay, but I couldn't help comparing it to Crystal Castles and other stuff in my head. Are there any good remixes?

Or you can go here, check a few boxes, and get a fancy collage of albums or artists that you've listened to like this.

Thanks, I've been feeling pretty jazzy lately.

Do you have any recommendations? I've really been trying to expand my jazz library this past couple of weeks.

they're not exactly jazz, more fusion, but you should give T.R.A.M. a listen, they have a pretty unique sound.
