Agreed whole-heartedly. Say Anything's new album is fucking awesome.

I don't see that as reason to hate her.

I think the main reason I hate her is that I can't stand her voice or production style. Also your icon reminds me of Goatse.

I'll have to get some more Say Anything soon, even though I'm still in love with Is A Real Boy.

Also, I don't like Lana Del Ray's music, not to my taste etc. I don't really like her image either, like she's some super edgy, experienced everything life has to offer kind of person. And I hate those sorts of people.

I don't care if that made no sense.

yadda yadda !CHARTS

did you guys go to any shows or festivals last week? you think living in Texas I would have gone to more, but I just went to 35Denton on Saturday. It was worth it though, R. Stevie Moore at 12:30am was one of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Other bands I saw were:

Atlas Sound
Best Coast
Comanche
Two Knights
some really shitty band with a drunk lead singer (I wanted to see Oberhofer but the venue was literally packed)

so yeah that's my life

There is so much Beck in here. It's good. He was probably no. 9 or 10 on my list.

Beck is brilliant. I should really get around to obtaining his other albums, listening to the same ones over and over is starting to get old.

I've only listened to Midnite Vultures. It's a pretty good album. One or two songs that don't quite do it for me but the rest are really really catchy. Like Sexx Laws and Mixed Bizness.

I think his stuff is easy to just let play. when im working on shit, i dont want to deal with changing songs or whatever, i just wawnt something thats not gonna be too loud or too overpowering from what im doing. Beck works well for that. Well for me i guess. I still like other stuff better but it fits.

oh man, I never would have expected anyone here to know about them. well I kinda saw them. I mean I heard them. The venue was in a basement and one-in-one-out so I just listened to them while sitting on the stairs. The drummer kicks so much ass man, he's an inspiration to me. They pretty much sounded like their youtube videos. Nothing super phenomenal, but a fun sound.

I just looked them up because of your mentioning of them and holy crap these guys are good. I just got Quilt Chamberlain and I'm loving it.

What's with everyone's huge boner over sea change? Is it because it drops the wacky lyrics for something more meaningful? I love Beck, but I just feel it isn't even his strongest work. Am I misunderstanding it? Give me a reason to listen to it some more.

Nah you're better off listening to classic soul from 60 & 70s for Smooth and pleasant.

it can be generic in the way of it's lyrics.

Yeah, but if you're trying to turn your brain off and relax not indulge in a literary analysis of how a black man goes about mythologizing how he is going to put his lovin' down on his girl, then that's where R&B comes in.

Guys like Ginuwine, Craig David, Avant and.......................Mario.................

That's a bit of a problem for me though no matter what genre ,I can't turn off my mind that easily because there will be something out there in a peice that can make or break something because I might not think may have good build or it shakes things up a bit
