Of course. I saw Ted Nugent live and my ears rang for four days after the concert. It was a fucking brilliant show too. Also charts! I feel a bit hipster because I love Neutral Milk Hotel.

So when I'm scrobbling songs on my iPod, if I don't listen to the entire song from start to finish, it won't scrobble, unlike on the computer where if you're over halfway through the song it'll count. Is this normal?

Yes.
Your iPod doesn't actually have any kind of scrobbling plugin built-in, what Last.fm does is when you sync your ipod look at the playcounts of songs and say "hmm when he synced this song's playcount increased by two, therefore he listened to it twice". So it scrobbles two plays.
iPods only increment playcount when the song ends.

Alright, thanks for explaining, that makes sense. It's just that sometimes I don't listen to it all the way because it's blankness at the end of a song or noise or something and it won't scrobble later. Other times I'll accidentally skip a song when it's almost over. Faaaaack.

Her album is seriously good. Love Story is probably the weakest track. And her voice is a treat on the ears, even her more nasally American moments :).

I actually like her as well, at least I like love story. Mostly because I put it in a flash and listened to it a million times that day. I should maybe listen to some of her other stuff sometime. I doubt I'll ever get around to it though.

No it's more of a "While I respect everyone's right to have an opinion, MY opinion is that metal is wank"
or at least the heavier faster stuff. a bit of mainstream metal's fine.

Whether thats good or not depends on what Metallica it was. Anything post-Cliff dying doesn't get my seal of approval.

Speaking off not listening to Metal
I've been turning scrobbling off and listening to tonnes of MGMT, Ladyhawke, Empire of the Sun, Crystal Castles and Pnau.

I think metal dies a little bit for everyone past 14 years of age, or at least it did for me a little bit. I think I listen to more non metal now then I did a couple of years ago.
