Ok this is getting out of hand guys. It now seems that any incident that involves a black person being hurt, raped, robbed, or killed by a white person is now a hate crime. I was reading a local news paper that a person was fined for hanging a ghoul from a noose because the noose made the showing racist.

If I get into a fight and beat the hell out of a black person, that doesn't mean I don't like black people, that means I don't like that particular black person. But the good Reverend Al Sharpton is trying to make people think otherwise.

Interracial Crime

- Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving
blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.

- Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Fortyfive
percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are
Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are
black.

- Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against
a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.

- Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes
against whites than vice versa.

My definition of hate crime is any pre-existing crime done against a person on a prejudicial motive.

- Killing somone because they're Purple = a hate crime, Your killing somone = crime, because they're purple = prejudicial motive

- Hanging a noose =/= hate crime. hanging a noose =/= crime, Noose itself =/= adamant grounds for prejudice

I always disliked Hate Crimes.

The action and the label.

Crime should be based on what it is, equal to other crimes already present and other charges at given. Manslaughter should be the same, regardless of black or white. Homicide for the same.

The crime shouldn't be based on the motive, but the intent.

It's misusing a term to push an agenda. It sucks, and it's basically propaganda, but there's not much anyone can do to stop it unless somebody invents a real cluebat sometime soon.

And if somebody does invent an actual cluebat, I'm definitely going to buy one. I need one of those things.

The funny thing is, the people who came up with the term "hate crime" are the same ones that came up with the term "African-American," which is possibly the dumbest combination of words in the American dictionary, because it instantly classifies all black people as African, whether they are in fact of African descent or not -- hey, news flash! Not all black people came from Africa!

I swear, if people are going to preach political *correct*ness, then their terminology should at least be *correct*.

Besides, I don't think any nation should preach about hate crimes while still allowing groups such as the Ku Klux Klan to exist.

Ditto to the Westboro Baptist Church and Fred "D*****bag" Phelps, but that's another topic. :-/

We need to get rid of the term "hate crime" entirely. It's completely misused, and I'd like to see some statistics on how many actual hate crimes are committed by whites in comparison to blacks.
