See what I'm talking about when the media pays less attention to stuff like this and more to something like a sex scandle.
Can someone give a link or explain or something?

Actually, it's probably because you called it Dufar.
That article pretty much covers it. I think the Government was unhappy with peasant uprisings in the Darfur region, and so sent its troops as well as the Janjaweed militias (crazy Islamic extremists) over there to absolutely crush the inhabitants. The peasants weren't very happy about being crushed, so they formed their own rebel armies and engaged themselves in conflict with the militias and the Sudanese army all over Darfur. While this was going on, the militias were wiping out individual villages.
But now it's escalated and the militias are fighting each other; the rebels are fighting each other; and factions of the Sudanese Army are mutinying. It's a huge mess now.
Give my thoughts form and make them look insightful.

"Jackass", eh? Not a term I have heard in quite a while.... but I digress.
I recently did a report on Sudan, and the short synopsis is as such: the Arab Muslims in the North are fighting with the Black Animists in the South, and the region of Darfur is caught in the crossfire.
To everyone else: correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

I'm actually going to side with the Arab muslims in this conflict, but only because animism is the lowest common denominator of all religious/theistic beliefs, otherwise, I despise Islamic extremists.

But, you know, the animists have the power of voodoo and big-ass totems and those ghost-like thingies that you see in the movies when an old man is making a fire. And they're, like, witches and stuff and wear hats and wands and make ritual sacrifices and Harry Potter and shit. And they have cauldrons and they make superpower potions and all.
Meanwhile, the Muslims do the whirlie. And they get angry at women who were raped too I guess.

Well, I actually don't think that religion has anything to do with it, it's mostly just about land and water. The JEM is a downright Islamist movement and although the SLM is not outspokenly religious the movement is headed by people with names like Abdulwahid Muhammad al-Nur.

Nuh-huh. My animists got the Voodoo. Therefore, Jimi Hendrix is on their side. Who's on the Muslims' side? Cat Stevens? Puh-lease.

The muslims have Madonna on their side. Let's see Jimi Hendrix give out blowjobs for cents.
