Math Question 2007-11-03 08:46:50 Reply

Ok, this is going to seem like a really stupid question but I've had a brainfart and can't remember this.

How do you find the perimeter of a square if you know what the area is?

Thanks in advance!

area of the square is a^2 and the perimeter is 4a so what you do is get the square root of the area then multiply four to the result. and there you have it.

A square, right? The one side is the square root of the whole area, so find that, then just add 4 of the sides together.

square root the area, (eg. square root of 25=5) and times that by 4 (5*4=20)
