There is a growing concern about Al Queida pirates that are armed with sophisticated weapons that can hijack cruisliners, How can we protect cruisliners on international waters? Could Pirates be a neglected concern to international security? Could they be dwelling in places that have poor security like Port Au Prince? How much of a threat are they to our nations security?

Dude it wouldnt be that hard to sink a cruise liner. You would only need 1 torpedo, 2 at the most. And why would you need a sopisticated weapon to take over a cruise ship? One man with an AK-47 could eaily force the passengers of the ship.

True, however they can also intercept ships carrying nucluer fuel. Thats precisly why pirates may be of such a danger that is being ignored.

You people forget that pirates have been turned into internet memes, and, therefore, rendered harmless to the Western World.

I don't see how a double meaning can render terrorists harmless.

Ninjas.
Tis better to sit in silence and be presumed a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Easy, we go back to WW2 Atlantic convoy tactics, send defense ships with them.
Or we could armored the cruise liners, and put heavily armed guards on the ships.
