1) what motivates to make your supposedly 'spammy' submissions? the idiots who complain? or the pleasure of submitting your work?
2) do you get angry that idiots are making groups against you? or does it motivate you more?
3) will you continue doing your causes?
Let's see...
1) Tho, I'm not counting myself to the guys who do nothing else bus spam in the KK, I could tell you some good reasons... Spammy submissions don't take such a gigant amount of time as other submissions do... Some of us actually tried to make some good shit, but it didn't get the attention it deserved... The most important thing for an animator is to get many reviews and for most of us it seems easier to get many reviews by pissing people off or posting complete shit... sad but true!
If you want to do all that poor, hard working motherfuckers, who work their balls off for you, a favor, go out there and write some reviews (any I'm not talking about the usual spamflashes by the KK; I'm talking about any submission by anyoe who actually spent some effort)
Yeh... and that's basicly why most of us spam... The "evil" guys get more attention...
So, you spam because you want a lot of reviews? Seems strange, but alright. I don't really care if my flashes were to get a lot of reveiws. If it gets the score I was hoping for, I'm happy. Besides, some people who reveiw can be real bastards.
If you'll notice, all the great authors on Newgrounds spend months on their work. Spending time on it whenever they can. The only thing stopping them is lazyness and loss of motivation. If you spend only a few minutes on one movie, you're digging yourself a bigger hole. But, unlike other holes, this one you and your whole krew can get out of. You can try on you're own work for ALL submissions. The truth is, if a movie gets a score over 3 or even 3.5. You can get much more reveiws and the people reveiwing will be happy. People will like you and the annoying AKK will look like real jackasses.
Or, of course, keep doing what you do, have your bittersweet fun until something big happens. You want positive attention, go and get it. I can't change your mind and neither can anyone else. It's up to you. Even if half your krew is spamming and the other is doing good. You'll know what you have to do at some point.
2) Yep... some smaller groups who have too much spare time and the so called Anti Kitty Krew tries to blam our shit, but as long as they vote fairly on stuff we actually put effort in and just blam the shit we made within 5 minutes, the more mature guys of us don't really care...
Also they are making Anty KK flashes... and it rather makes us happy to see that poeple spend effort to try to piss us off, while most of us just laugh about it! (self irony is important)
Yeah, the AKK don't really know what they're doing. It's sad actually. Funny, but sad.
3) Hopefully there will be some more funny and more effort containing stuff in future... I'm not the only one who tries to create at least some decent shit but it's hard to convince a whole group to do the exact opposite of what it used to represent...
So, what? If you make something good, are they going to kick you off the Krew or something?
That's what I think...

We like to get turd because it makes people actually watching, get pissed about and reviewing our shit...
Also it's counted as a trophy and better than nothing...
An award for ugly attention whores and those who are disappointed by the littly amount of reviews they get...
Believe me: It feels ten times better to submit crap and to see many people complaining about it than to work hard on a decent flash no one really cares about and which isn't even viewed anymore after it left the portal!

Givin my best... at least sometimes...
But spaming is like the KK's national sport and noody can change a whole groups attitude to the complete opposite overnight...
So, what? If you make something good, are they going to kick you off the Krew or something?
Heh, rather not...
Actually we love decent submissions like Nogfish's KK beatdown and also everyone liked my so called Unblamable which has already been mentioned in this thread!
We actually have a huge amount of talented artists who could easily animate decent flash (if they would sped some more time and effort) but if you compare the scores of KK submissions with the scores of normal ones, it's just depressing (at least sometimes) and doesn't really motivate to spend time on more decent animations!
The KK almost exist for 2 years now and had hundreds of members bu didn't get a single daily award (1-5) yet...
It almost seems like we couldn't even win with anything...
...but at least Tom gives us frontpage every now and then!^^

JUST as I expected, although, I didn't actually expect KK members to

Even hateful reviews show us, that people give a fuck about our flash submissions...
Of course it feels better to get a positive feed back but if you made something to piss people off or to shock them and they react with a review like "This was terrible! Thanks for wasting my time!", you know that you made it...
But that only counts for really shitty, naughty or provoking submissions... not for those we spent effort on...
Still, we prefer nice reviews overall!^^

I recommend trying to give a helpful review even if the submission is just a bunch of flashing lights, because there is always a "point" to the Flash. Besides, you will have the review deleted anyways.

Rather, it's best to reveiw fairly ALL the time. Say what you feel when you make a reveiw. If it's a beginner's work, it really hurts their feelings when their first submission gets so many bad reveiws by people who basically hate the world, I know what it's like. If it's a "first flash", give constructive criticism. If it's annoying spam, express your hate while following the reveiw guidelines. If it's a great flash...well that's obvious. Reveiwing fairly is just as important as voting fairly.
Also, I'm pretty sure this is the 250th thing said in this thread. That's good luck. Yippee!

The reason their flash makes it on here is that they have many members and those members all vote 5 on the flash... so no matter how many 0 we give them the flash always just manages to barely make the minimum to pass the judgement. That is how they get thier utter crap on the site.

The thing you just explained is known as CRMV. Which means Crew Related Mass Voting. It is practiced by all crews.

Heh... maybe guys... but not that excessive... at least not for the KK...
Of course se vote 5 on movies of other KK members but we are not as many as you may think...
Also our group consists of people from all around the world; I'm from Germany for example, so when I submit a movie and tell other members on the forum to 5 it, there are maybe 7 guys who really see it while it's under judgement...
The reason everything passes it that everyone elso thinks KK movies pass anyway and votes 2 or higher! XD
And since whe actually do have some fans and not too many KK haters who like to get some protection points, tho they don't like our movies are viewing what I am writing right now, I guess it will stay like that!^^
KK = Free protection points^^
...but KK doesn't stand for the power of pure massvoting...

LOL, well see, if you have a crew of about 100+ people, how are all of them going to know to vote on something?

That is what I mean, say what you think, but don't be to harsh like, "This Sucks Muther Fu**ing SH*T" Instead, you would say, I recommend adding some drawings in there of a guy running around in circles instead of just lights flashing.

+100 people doesn't mean +100 active people...
Everyone who browses the boards will be able to see if there's a new flash in the portal and can decide if he 5s it or not (what doesn't mean that 30 KK members will 5 every single KK flash... most of the work is done by NGers who think KK stuff passes anyway or share our humor), thanks to a special saytem BigFuzzyKitten invented...
And believe me: He is the most underrated groupleader in the entire NG history; at least for those who don't know him...

And seriously, the Kitty Krew doesn't have enough active members to mass anything through the portal.

Hahahahaha! I'm sorry, but that made me laugh.
If CRMV was basically impossible, 60% of your passed flashes would be dead.
Of course Crew Related Mass Voting will always be around no matter what. Until someone brilliant can come up with a way to stop it from happening. Even if that happened, the KK would still find a way around it. If they can find a flaw through the co-authoring system by having anyone they want on their list, they can find a way to keep CRMV going.
There may not be a lot of members, but every member has an average of around 3 alts. Some members have around 7. So 8 accounts voting five with the large extra voting power (due to all members getting a lot of B/P points) can be only so powerful.
And that's just one person. For all we know, it could be 30 accounts voting five.
So, stop telling everyone that you don't CRMV on anything. You got a lot of nerve to try to feed people that kind of bull.

Nah. Protect point whores and KK supporters with high power.

I have about 35 alts, but all of the ones I was leveling up got deleted and I honestly can't be bothered to use Tor to massvote. A lot of KK members actually don't have that much voting power.
So, stop telling everyone that you don't CRMV on anything. You got a lot of nerve to try to feed people that kind of bull.
We don't have enough members and I think a lot of KK members are too lazy to use Tor to massvote. (I definitely am.)

what I think is funny is that the KK responded to this thread, that means they do want attention and really like it.
:But who doesn't?
And anywho, The KK makes a lot of really crappy Flashes, but also make a lot of really funny ones. What gets NG members into a pissing fit is that they actually try hard on a Flash and it gets BLAMMED.
But Spam doesn't lol.

If you consider this as spam you should ask yourself how things like B passed...
It may be a kind of spam, but this actually is the kind of spam, me and probably also other people like... Compared to the usual spam it contains effort... and sometimes I wish some KK members would spent some more time on their shit... a spinning bitmap of an ugly guy or anything like that is not really creative...
But that shit is kinda awesome compared to the usual spam... XD
Also, you shouldn't ask this question with a score which is higher than 3!

No, not true at all. The anti-kitty krew are a bunch of people who simply hate flashing lights. They think it is annoying and don't see the "real" comedy in it.

I would have one if I spammed as much as the other guys... but actually I didn't submit any REAL spam yet...
I don't know if you non KK members consider that as good or bad, since it doesn't really fit to the KK stereotype, but the time it takes me to animate one decent submission would be enough for other members to make at least 20 spam submissions; compared to the attention, several small spam submissions get, it's kinda illogical to animate some actually nice shit...
But I just want to show that KK isn't just about spam an in fact has good animators (I could give you a long list of gifted members and their talents), though these often prefere spammig because of the reason I just mentioned...
I will keep making decent submissions, but I think it won't hurt to spam a little more in future (at least if the spam contains some humor)...

That game is epic. No way is that spam, it's just a unique scrappy style of flash, which actually adds to the value of the game. If it wasn't done in that style it would be crap, but the very fact that it's been done like that makes it more enjoyable

Seconded...
The only reason why it could be seen as spam is the fact that you submitted it for the third time without deleting the old versions... but that's ok...

Uhm... frame by frame! That's why!
It contains more effort than tweening bitmaps of lazytown characters, to a flashing background and a text that says, "I luv teh cock" and even things lite that pass...
Nowadaysalmost every shit passes... sad but true...
A few years back even decent stuff which actually contained effort got blammed... Today you could even submit a picture of a pile of shit and it would pass closely...

Wow lol, maybe I should make a gigantic animation of stick figures...
You know, if you read my earlier news posts, you would see that I had proof that I created the demented cartoon movie with Brian Kendall. He did all the animation, but I came up with a lot of the ideas, and now have a gigantic 500 page book of a lot of more ideas which I created some of that into a game... but that is only like 0.0000000001 % of it lol.
