Hello. I've been using Newgrounds for a long time to watch flash movies, play flash games and listen to music, and I've finally gotten round to actually joining the site. Anyway, I thought I should start by posting some of my artwork up here for you all to see.
This picture is of a sort of Cyborg warrior that features in a book I wrote several years ago. It can be viewed at higher resolution here: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/271/a lphaclassremnantpngmg5.png
Just imagine I wrote something witty and funny here.... Oh, and check out my artwork: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic /802110

I'm sorry I have to multi-post here, but I can't think of any other way to put in more than one picture....
this second picture is of a sort of cursed soldier/zombie from the same book. It can be viewed at a higher resolution here: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/949/m arshlordkf1.png

I would to see more of your work from that graphic novel of your's! What is it about,Do you plan on Publishing it on anywhere?
Posted at: 10/27/07 11:23 PM
I have made no plans to publish my work, and I really doubt that any publishers would be interested in it. Basically, humanity is almost extinct, and the world is ruled by evil, death-worshipping robots. I won't go into the details because that would take far too long, and it's getting late, and I'm very sleepy
Maybe I'll type them up another time, with some more of my artwork.

This rating coming from you. It's like saying George Bush is smarter than Albert Einstein. I do wish you would keep your ratings and horrendous art to yourself.

Thank you, everyone for your comments and encouragement. They're really appreciated. Here's another piece of art, which is admittedly a little undynamic, but it was only ever intended as a 'design plan' for the character depicted. I'll post up some better pictures of this character later (when I get my scanner fixed).

This picture was a very rare thing.... A digitally coloured drawing by me. Unfortunately, at the time of drawing, I didn't have access to any really good programs (such as photoshop), so I did this in a trial version of macromedia flash that I was trying out at the time.

One last one before I go to my Aikido lesson.... This picture was drawn on request for one of my friends. She wanted a picture of a female zombie-fighter to use as her avatar in some forum or another, so I drew this for her...

the colored one is really nice.
if you're looking for a good freeware, I'd definitely recommend GIMP. i finally downloaded it, happily finding almost everything i used for drawing from both flash and photoshop, or at least enough for a freeware.
my art.,any requests?Art tech support! pm me if i should start a webcomic. 10+ people think so!

Thanks, man... I'll definitely check "Gimp" out... In the meantime, here's one more drawing, of the same zombie huntress. There's some mild nudity in this picture, but all the 'relevant parts' are covered up, so I guess the 'only funny nudity allowed' rule could be bent a little in this case.... If not, just tell me to take it down.

Hate to just be a negative Nancy, but her neck is far too twisted, looks like she put her head on backwards. Her arm, with the gun, is bent too far and is really out of proportion. Also, I've never been a big fan of the mullet, especially on the ladies.
Most of her body looks pretty good and the shading is well done. =]

This was the first comic in a short series I did for my friend's website. Basically, it ran for about twenty five comics, and then sort of fizzled out, and the website eventually fell apart.

Yeah, I admit that that drawing does have some pretty serious flaws, and I don't really remember what my excuse was, because it was several months ago, and I have the memory of a forgetful goldfish.
Anyway, thanks for pointing out the areas for improvement... It's how I learn!

Here is some more of my more recent art..... This first one is called 'aquisition of an apprentice,' which is an illustration found in a story I wrote a long time ago, in which a 5,000 year old mage takes the sole survivor of a citywide fire as his apprentice. (It's supposed to look like a young girl of around twelve.) I really like this piece because of it's sombre, dark mood. One thing I didn't like about this drawing was that the little girl's hands look a bit flat.

this next piece is of yet another of my evil robots. this one was supposed to look like a more sophisticated machine... Like an aristocratic robot. But I didn't want to go for the whole stereotype of 'top hat and tails'. So instead, I gave him a weapon which wasn't quite as brutally efficient as the other killer-machines I've designed, but has a certain finesse to it.

This machine was supposed to be really psychologically imposing. So I made it really spiky, with a hunched back and neck akin to a vulture, long, thin flensing blades for fingers, big, beady eyes and a generally quite skeletal, insectoid appearance. Note the needle-like probiscus jutting out from it's mouth.... It uses that to drain it's victims of bodily fluids. I thought that a maybe vampiric robot would be quite a nice twist on the old vampire theme...

Admittedly, this is quite an old piece, but I still think it's pretty badass, so I'm gonna post it. Another evil robot, this time it's a kinda robot interrogator/inquisitor.

This is my most recent creation.... It's tragic that I drew this picture on A3 paper, which means that it won't fit into any scanner currently available to me. Instead, I took two photographs on my rather crappy camera, and stuck them together to more or less give you an idea what the picture is like. I might try to make a more high-resolution version over the weekend, when I'll have time to do so.

I love the dynamic poses :] Though I like the mechas better. Wish you could do better on the human faces of those pencil drawings, they look odd.
