thanks. i am told i can be quite creative, and i do realize how expansive and extreme my imagination can get. however, my imagination has a rather loose attachment to reality......

anyway i do realize her pose isnt the best of poses, but i just thought of a simple drawing at the time, just being "Lost in Thought".........

i'll be sure to update whenever i manage to finish more drawings

good question. i always catch myself daydreaming, even though i know i should be concentrating on other things. as corny as this may seem, i always seem to see something in an object or event in everyday life and reality that can be molded into something else. what drives my imagination is just from wanting to escape the almost offensive levels of boredom whenever i need to work on something, thinking of anything, imagining it, and still attaching a loose sense of reality to it. this is as best as i could explain it. sorry, but as i see it, i'm an enigma to even myself sometimes ^ ^

my advice to anyone is to just loosen up. free your mind and try to explore every corner of it. it is not a sin to fantasize about things, and you might surprise yourself with what you find.

idk, to me, a lot of people have enough imagination. what really limits them is their artistic ability. A couple classes or a little more practice could also make all the difference in you being able to express what's in your head?

I know I have trouble a lot with that. I can usually never get the picture in my head perfectly on my paper and I would kill to be able to just shoot pictures straight from my imagination to paper

well, classes and practice do help in a way, but only as outlets to express yourself and lessons to teach you how NOT to draw something bad lol. there is no such such thing as enough imagination but predetermined barriers set by yourself. you shouldn't be afraid to express yourself and practice whenever you feel. don't feel embarrassed when someone notices you are drawing. remember, you're letting off steam when you practice and bettering yourself at the same time. but most importantly, never believe your imagination has a limit. the mind is perpetually active, always constant in creating new ideas. you may forget or have temporary blocks sometimes, but those are all minor impediments. free yourself from all restraint and try to draw whatever comes to your mind, no matter how good or bad it comes out.

anyway, here's the latest drawing ive finished. for those of you who have had the misfortune to read and analyze the gothic romance The Scarlet Letter, this is a drawing i had to do for an assignment. but to everyone who read or not read the book, this is a shot of Hester Prynne and Pearl. note i did not do a background mainly because i did not feel like doing one, even though it would probably look better if it did have one lol.

thx. it is supposed to be random, but that's also the way Pearl is. the book is set in the Puritan colony of Boston where the main protagonist is Hester, a woman found guilty of adultery who is forced to wear a mark of shame (the scarlet letter) at all times. the resulting daughter, Pearl, is a very playful, enigmatic and beautiful child who, at the same time, is viewed as a little "demon/elf offspring or natural human" because of how she deviates from the Puritan way of life. i figured id have her stick her head in there at such a weird angle for some effect ^ ^. that's the simplest description of the characters i can give you. however, if you are in high school, expect to read that book sooner or later. also be sure you can understand it, because there is a lot of symbolism, thematic elements, and other hidden shit Transcendentalist authors stick in their works.

w00t! found more stuffz, and in time for halloween too! i'll list in chronological order. yes, for the first two i got bored and considered drawing consciences. sounds kinda lame, yes, but i don't care. i know there are some weird proportions here and there but this one didnt come out too bad ^ ^.

this is Angel. not a very original name, i know. she doesn't do a very good job, but she tries real damn hard...i guess it has more to do with my lack of attention and disregard for boring stuff than with her quality of work lol

m'kaaay......and here's my bad conscience, somewhat appropriately named Alucard (got the idea from Hellsing, not that blue pansy from pico's school). oddly enough, he and Angel have a rather interesting relationship........wait a sec.......that night i caught them in the closet.....ok nvm, nvm.

yes, he does look like a cross between alucard and MJ, doesn't he? not what i was going for at the time, really.

ok and here's another random drawing i did one day while bored out of my mind.

and one of the more recent drawings, Sohjin. probably the most random guy i've done in a while, but like that matters. i guess he's appropriate for halloween

btw, the name Sohjin would've been mine had it not been for my mother's objection. i actually like it as much as my current name, if not more. for those of you that are curious, it is of Crow origin, my great-great grandpa (or something like that) was Crow and i have some Crow in me. it's all kool like that ^ ^

it's still a bit of a mystery to me really lol.i guess it is a mix of some inspiration, practice, patience, willingness to learn from mistakes, and, of course, a broad and very active imagination ^ ^.

I have been working on this character for a while, he goes along with my story.
Its based on mechs and aliens thats why i want you to make a pred. alien thing, its fan artwork for my book I'm making =).
