Vital flash component missing.

Theres an important aspect of good flash movies missing in my case.

Motivation!!

How do you all keep your mind on animating once you hit a wall? I keep going back to my animations, seeing the amount of work that needs done to finish them and end up buggering off to play STALKER after 5 minutes. I wish there was some way to keep on track!!

I just try to think of all the good things that will come with the finished product.

finish game>more hits to site>more money from adsense
finish game>entertain people>get more respect from more artist
finish game>get a better reputation as a flash author
finish game>increase portfolio

don't finish game>lose self respect
don't finish game>let people down
don't finish game>waste talent
don't finish game>have nothing to do.

Think about it, you'd rather finish the game.

It's really about how much you want to finish it, I started a quite large project for what I'm used to a while ago but gave up because I had no motivation. If you're going to start a game/movie post a teaser to a forum(s) and if they like you you get people saying 'How long?' etc. Plus music does help, it keeps you occupied, either that or it annoys you. I remember typing in the Action bar in flash a line or so of the song only to wonder what the error was when I tested it :).

As well as that - think what the movie/game/whatevers going to be like at the end of all your work. And imagine it in that number one spot on ng ^^
