!all my friends are metal heads
I actully found Ska when me and my freind John were looking for all the skulls in halo 3 note vid #2, anyway I was just letting everyone know that Ska ROCKS
Less then Jake is not a real ska band. They suck and you should fucking die for likeing them. But Reel Big Fish is great.
That's the Third-Wave of Ska, check out some 2Tone (Specials, Madness, Selecter) and some of the original stuff (Skatalites, Desmond Dekker, etc.). You may also like Reggae, which is a mutated form of Ska.

One of my friends knows about Ska but I've never listened to that type of music.

I jave listened to reggae before, I dont like it.
SKA IS DEAD KIDS.
i saw the mad caddies live a few years ago and it was cool. listend to plenty of ska in those days. went to a bunch of local shows. not anymore though.
p.s. fukken lol'd at "my favorite bands from ska"
like its tv show or something. man. newgrounds forums. forreal.
This isn't a real ska topic w/o The Toasters at least being referred to. They're the longest living ska band ever.
-The Specials rule.
-Less Than Jake is okay (too 'punk' for me).
-Reel Big Fish is awesome, despite not being a ska band, but instead a ska band trying to be a rock band (they even admit it).
-The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are cool (the Bosstones have finally returned! Woo!).
-Aquabats rocked, but they aren't ska anymore.
-All in all, I'm not an extreme Rudie/Rudeboy, but I sure do love the spirit of ska.
P.S. True ska is only for people who believe that all 'men and women despite race/color are created equal.' Most logos referring to ska bands/music are colored in 'two tone' for a reason.

I can be racist as Hell and still think that Desmond Dekker plays a good tune, I would just think him inferior in some aspect. Or I could even be a Racialist and like Ska. Rhe 2Tone pattern didn't come in until the 2Tone genre either. :P

I'm sure The Skatalites are still going. Man, that cover of The Guns Of Navarone is looping in my head right now.

I apologize, stupid of me to make that statement. It seemed to be okay to type that at the time.
One more thing; everyone knows that ska is dead, but I think it has a chance to comeback. I see more and more people learning about ska music it seems. My other reasoning for a comeback being; the comeback of the Bosstones and Reel Big Fish's, I'd say, good-sized popularity.

Don't apologize - it came from a good place. I don't care much for racial hatred either.

I hope you are right. Then again, I've been hoping for a Psychedelic explosion due to the popularity of The Flaming Lips, but we just still have the underground Psych-Folk. Maybe there will be a larger undergorund Ska scene in the future.
