4.09 / 5.00 15,161 ViewsI am curently working on my first flash movie. it is very small scale, almost like a random map game except in the form of a movie. i am having trouble with the complexity of the tiny men that go into it, they're hard to animate and are very tedious to work with. any sugestions or help on this would be greatly apreciated. Ah... the first submission. I'd recommend making your separate animations into movieclips. That way, if each little person is doing the same thing, or you're having them repeat something, it's just a matter of changing the movieclip on the main timeline. It's how sprite animations are done, in this case, you're just making your own sprites. But yes,

I'd actually advise against using movie clips for the animations. Using graphics with the animation inside them works best for movies, as you can see them animating on the main timeline and will pause when the movie is paused, and they will not go out of sync.
Movie clips are great for actionscript and putting filters on, but for an animation graphics are superior.
