Well, would you rather they put your stuff on the front page? You seem to know who your audience very well... And you know that a majority of them aren't going to find you on the front page by chance and fall in love with you. You appeal to a small constituent of people.
And then there are the proles. They like sprites and anime and the such. The majority of them are only going to look at the front page and go for the sprites or the Naruto or what have you.
