OMG, yhey!! I love magic. My best card is my 7/7 Chaos Lord!! I heard they made a 20/20!!!!

Okay, now seriously, if you play, just discuss stuff here. No need for a sig if you don't want it. This thread is now the MTG forum.

People still think that Power and Toughness is all there is to a Creature? Well, I guess enough has been said in this thread...

Anyways, I used to play Magic, but I lost interest after they ruined it with all those stupid new expansions. That's not the only reason either. A lot of people that I don't particularly enjoy the company of started playing, and I just quit. What can I say?

Besides, it was eating a hole into my wallet too...

Response to Magic: The Gathering Klub 2003-09-03 22:14:50

I hate keeping up with the new expansions.. Give me my oldschool black/white deck anyday.. it can whip more than enough new expansion creature theme decks.

Doesn't really explain why you'd be posting in an M:tG club then.

Ah, that old card game. It had its good points but in the end, it wasn't worth it. Still, I own a few for whatever sake.

Yeah, that's why I got the majority of my cards off of rich kids after it wasn't cool anymore. I got like 800 once, and they were GREAT cards, for just five bucks.

And to the guy who just posted: Well, since zilla doesn't seem to be paying attention to this thread, I'll take charge and say yeah.

Dreadnaught and Leviathan. That's almost disturbing how much they suck. Particularly Leviathan. Yesh, I'll sacrifice a billion islands to attack. :\

Meh, whatever. Personally, I love teh Rebels.

I prefer my Cloudscraper.

I just need some more stuff that'll give it trample. Cloudscrapers with Armadillo Cloaks become huge problems really fast.

Dreadnaught rules, don't be foolish!

Throw in 2 pandamoneums, tap an extra (2). 24 damage to a target instantly!

You cannot kick Wadezilla out of the MTG Klub!!!

If this is about my support of Xbox, well, *sticks tounge out and makes sound*.

After all the times we teamed up in Tetris, this is the respect I get. >: (

A) 2 pandemoniums is hard to get
B) You still need to bring it into play to use the pandemoniums, and to do that, you need to sac 12 power worth of shit.

If you can get pandemoniums, I'd use them with a Ball Lightning/Fling combo for a quick 18 damage.

You don't need to sac the creatures. It says when it COMES INTO PLAY, meaning the second it comes into play, you need to, which pretty much says it is in play, and with Pandemoneum, all you need is for the creature to make it into play, just pay the cost, then destroy the dreadnauts. And actually, with good use of Artifacts, it is possible to get pandemoneum and both the dreadnauts out on your first turn. My friend has a deck that has the "Instant Win" hand although I haven't been lucky enough to find all the cards necissary.

BTW, I meant 1 pandemoneum, not 2. My mistake.

No, the oracle text explains it. It's more like "The next time Phyrexian Dreadnaught would come into play, instead remove it from the game and sacrifice any number of creatures with a compined power of at least 12. If you do, put Phyrexian Dreadnaught into play"

So no, it wouldn't work. I study rules, especially about timing, quite carefully. I want to become a DCI judge some day.

lol. Well, when you're going to catalog every Magic expansion along with every errata for each card then you're going to end up with a ton of really large documents. Quite scary that people actually type that much, acutually.

Probably a lot more than one person doing that. It's probably just that whenever a judge or somebody does the Oracle text, the gotsta type it up themselves or something.

Anyway, what I find much scarier is the fact that I knew that right off the bat without searching for it :/

Here's the exact text on it.

Phyrexian Dreadnought
{1}
Artifact Creature
12/12
Trample
If Phyrexian Dreadnought would come into play, sacrifice any number of creatures with total power 12 or greater instead. If you do, put Phyrexian Dreadnought into play. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard.

See, I was right.

Fewel.

I think I should become supreme rule-monkey of the club.
