he has a good chance, because people have heard of him. It may not be for the right reason, but whatever.

Yeah, this'll give Steven material for the report for the next few weeks, but here's something to consider: What if he WINS?
This is not as insane of a concept as it seems. A vote for Steven Colbert in South Carolina is a vote against the current political circus which might give us Hillary Clinton as a Presidential candidate. And is there even 1 decent Republican in the field? Can you see any of the candidates from either side as President?
Politics as Usual gave us George Bush and John Kerry last time out, and a long succession of duds on both sides of the aisle. I am one of a lot of people who think it's high time someone gave both the Republicans and the Democrats a good swift kick in the ass -- the fact that nobodies paying any attention to the pathetic "debates" should have clued them in that they're a stale act. And who better to do both -- kick their assess and liven things up -- then Steven Colbert?
First act as president: Outlaw bears.
I know he's not serious, but if he ends up getting serious out of popularity then he has my vote for sure.

It's a great idea that people have always talked about but never thought would happen. Sort of like Sonic in Brawl.
I hope he becomes the President of South Carolina. He has my vote.

Well, to be fair, people who watch The Colbert Report are mentally retarded.

I remember when Robin Williams ran for president. And won. And learned important life lessons on balancing the comedy, AND THE ECONOMY.
