Move forward? Do you watch the news? Do you even retain full consciousness through most of your life? Oil companies are buying out scientific breakthroughs from the very government that's supposed to be improving and developing our nation. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. When Russia was an agrarian nation, they went to war on horseback against sub-machine guns. But once it turned communist, it became a powerhouse of innovation that was able to compete with the United States in terms of science, technology, health, and military (above all). In the long run, though, the economic structure isn't important as long as it's functioning properly (which it currently isn't). Do you think China would be growing economically the way it is today if it was still a feudalist society? I don't think so either.

1. Marxism now refers to the original communism "invented" by Karl Marx, not all socialist ideas. Thereby, Soviet is in no way marxist. In fact, Stalins ideology was kind of a mix between socialism, fascism, and national socialism.
2. Even if you use "marxist" and "socialist" in the same way, there are plenty of examples of countries with socialist leaders who hasn't declared war; Cuba and Vietnam are two.
3. You live in America, the country which starts most wars in the world, and probably the most capitalist country in the world, yet you try to discredit communism by saying that they start wars?

Communism is distinct from Socialism, not a part of it.

Socialism is the ideology itself, and communism is a means of getting there.

This is backwards. Karl Marx envisioned Socialism as a means of getting to Communism. Socialism is the imperfect stage where there is still private property and classes.

Communism can also refer to the state of a society, when it is classless and government-free.

Add to this no private property.
