In my short experience in the world I know that the human kind loves hobbies/interest.

Unfortunately there is only one interest that appeals to all apparently. Sex, call it whatever you want but as men and women we all "want" to chase the gender of our choice and eventually make love with that person. This is where I explain the purpose of this thread. When one is not having a sex life they are considered "sad" or told they should "get a life".

I'm not saying sex is difficult, it varies from person to person. It helps if you're attractive and have a sense of humour, attractiveness is a big factor because we're all shallow. It does not matter if you're fit or fat, good looking or ugly we all look for attractiveness first unless you're blind. If you're unattractive you better have a good personality or you're going to feel a bit lonely.

Anyway as an example I have a lot of hobbies and interests such as internet and video games. The average person would tell me to "get a life" because I'm not spending my time getting out to clubs and such. I've been to clubs and I didn't really like it, how am I supposed to spend time with someone I could later have sex with if I can't hear them talk due to the excruciating loud music. I don't like dancing and I gave up alcohol, so that leaves me with sitting down and going outside the club to smoke. I could go to pubs but nobody really talks to you there except the bar man and your party of friends. House parties are possibly the best place to meet someone but they happen rarely depending on who you know. Not everyone at my age has their own house and the only time they can get a free house is when their family is away on holiday.

Alternative methods of having a social life are considered "sad". Things like speed dating and looking through lonely heart articles in the newspapers is like commiting suicide in your social life. Why are people so fussy on how someone should meet a partner?

Personally I have no powerful sexual urges as much as some people. I masturbate yes but I don't try and do everything to meet someone and risk doing things to lose my dignity. I'm very happy with my life when I do the things I want rather than do what society says to do. I blame most religions for telling people they should spread the seed of your genes, people wonder why the world is over populated. Oh dear I'm rambling, anyway I have had sex so I know from experience it isn't as great as everyone makes it sound.

So I say so the things that make you happy. If you like to go out and have a sex life then go ahead or you're into stamp collecting then go for it.

Being the age I am, there is a lot of pressure from my peers about having sex with so-and-so. I have participated in such acts, but it was just casual sex. I was so pressured to have sex, I had it with a girl I wasn't even dating. We both had some Tequila and weren't making the best decisions. It turns out that she got pregnant. It turned out not to be mine, but it really made me think about my life and how easily I could fuck it up.

I believe before you can like somebody you need to have a physical attracting to him or her. You very rarely find cases of people falling in love with others simply based on personality.

People just think others should meet their lovers through the social norm of ways. If you need to speed date, I think it is a wonderful opportunity to meet someone.
