Also, opinion on the Euro 2012 groups? I really wanted England to be drawn into B or C, since it'd actually make them work rather than encouraging them to slack. Sure, group D isn't the easiest group with France and Sweden, but would have loved to have seen them play the Dutch or the Spanish so early in the tournament

England will never win any major title until all the wags fuck off and all the off-the-field drama extinguishes, enough said.

As for the Euro draw, another easyish group for England and again expectation will rise as a result. I don't think much of France in major tournaments lately, Sweden aren't much and Ukraine are only there becuase they are hosts. Yet I still fear we won't get out of the group, and if we do it will be a short lived success with one of the big boys lying in wait. Group B should be a good watch though, with Denmark no push overs yet alone the other three.
Cutting it fine this week.

My first time posting in a while, however I felt considering we're doing pretty shockingly at the moment I might as well pop in. I haven't been following too closely at all, so my report'll be *extremely* brief, but although things seem to be on a steady up, I'm still worried about how close we are to the relegation zone, especially compared to last year's performance, pretty near to the playoffs.
I think it was a matter of a bad start injuring team confidence and morale, however after we got a short winning streak going (three games on the trot, each time winning by three goals) it looked on the up and like we were headed for safety despite glory of any kind being out of the picture. Then after having lost to Blackpool and then Bristol one after another that seemed to go out of the window. At least since then we've beaten Doncaster, even though they are even further down than us. Our G/D is actually pretty good considering low amount of points, the same as the team ten places up the league from us.
Anyway, in a little under ten minutes the game against Leeds away should get under way. I believe that is Dream-of-Duke's team, and I'd wish him the best of luck in it, however considering the discrepancies in our league table positions I think we deserve all the luck we can get.

Pretty much, the culture around the England national team is too pressuring and the hostility of the fans can be far too much. I really don't know how you can boo your own team, it's idiotic.

Hopefully he'll stop by the time we next clash. A loss for us, but considering our current condition that wasn't exactly unexpected, admittedly you are a far better team at the moment. I'm just hoping that we'll be able to grab a bit more momentum before the next game against a team in the top flight of the league and actually challenge them a bit more then.
Sadly, the Speedo affect will be gone by the Watford game. Unless Bates spends some serious money in the January window, we will not go up.
I think that you will have a better chance of seeing a pig flying than Bates spending.

I just don't trust Chelsea lately :( Love them still, god help me but they worry me too much. If Luiz got sent off like he should have then the result would likely have been quite different.

I hate booing of ones own team, national team especially. I just don't get it. Never understood the booing of Lampard for England either. Certain people tell me its because "He doesn't play as well for England as he does for Chelsea" but then a lot of players don't especially when they are played out of position and with players that their style clashes with (Gerrard). Lampard never stops trying for England though and sometimes I just wish he wouldn't if the fans don't respect him at all for his contribution.
I will be stupidly optimistic for the euros as usual, even though it makes defeat all the more painful. Groups not bad but doesn't really concern me since the one at the world cup was "the best English group since The Beatles." And we all know how that went. But we beat fucking Spain thus we are the best team in the world, perfect logic there, tis coming home. Also we're into the 3rd round of the FA cup now, fingers crossed for a big team, Chelsea/Arsenal away please! :D
i think we're the only country in the fifa top 10 who have booed their own players or gotten upset after a close win because "we didn't play well enough". if you're not optimistic about your flag then it would be a good idea to sit down on the sofa and forget about the whole thing.
getting annoyed at missing out on extra points because of 1 goal :<

12 points is normally my limit though- three shots now to reach the elusive 13 and beyond, but already Stoke have taken the lead at Everton to wreck one prediction. Still, not bad for a Saturday :D
Also even though Plymouth were nowhere near the 3rd round draw this year, it still has the ability to excite. Another Manchester derby to look forward to, and one of the big boys out of the 4th round. Hopefully that pattern will continue and we'll get some interesting sides in the last 4, not just 4 teams from the top 6 in the Prem. Arsenal Leeds also a good draw.
Long post is Loooooong, The FA Cup third round in its entirety, good draw for Charlton, away to Fulham, say out at the cottage will be good happy with that. Among the ties are games between Man U and Man City, Chelsea and Pompey and Arsenal against Leeds, again. FA cup is amazing.

That shouldn't be too difficult a game - although I don't want to say that we're going to piss it for fear that we'll turn up playing terribly on the day and end up embarrassing ourselves, however from the looks of it neither of those teams are too threatening when taken for surface value considering they're both playing League Two standard football. It may sound like I'm being a bit too cautious, but considering the last few months we've had I've come to terms that in any game there's a good chance of disappointment.
At least only one Manchester club will go further in the FA Cup. That was a nice draw.

You know I turned that game on as Sunderland missed their penalty and destroy my prediction! Better hope the same doesn't happen tonight, I'm watching the game as we speak.

So, where do we begin? With the fact that no one predicted the Fulham result? Or that Jonny was absent from this week's predictions? Or that we have a new entrant in the league (Giving us 11 participants, and therefore much less nice weekly averages)? Or that I've fallen down to 8th in the table, and my best score ever is still a measly 8?
Or perhaps it should be the fact that Sentio has finally broken the record for best weekly score, with an (I'm going to say it) unbeatable score of 15! He's also broken into triple figures, which puts the columns slightly out of line in our table :/
In terms of the matches, not a single person predicted that either of the Merseyside teams would lose, but quite a few of you predicted the 1-1 draw between QPR and WBA. Strangely, not many people followed me in predicting that Chelsea and Tottenham would drop points this weekend...
