Wait until England plays against a real team, they will get destroyed as they usually do.
Erm... ignoring that one result against Germany, which I still think was swayed heavily by that one disastrous refereeing decision, when was the last time that England were 'destroyed'? Because I have watched most of their games since the early 90s and I am struggling to think of many (or indeed any) occasions where we have been completely thrashed in that period outside of friendlies (and even in them I can't think of any).
And in that time we have hammered some of the top sides in the world, including the Germans.
That isn't to say we are world beaters or anything, but we do not generally get destroyed by anyone, rather crashing out in poor performances on penalties or by single goals. We are not the 4th best side in the world as FIFA would have you believe, but we can compete with pretty much anyone (Spain may be the only exception to that, but then nobody can match them currently).
And yes, our youth is the strongest it has been in years and looks promising for the future. It feels a lot like the early 90s again when the last 'golden' generation came through at United, and now they are repeating the trick with support from top players elsewhere (Wilshere comes to mind for starters). The next 10 years might be a good time to be English (and certainly a lot better than being Welsh or Scottish!).
