I can't see City doing very well, good players or not over the past few seasons they've proved almost nothing of it.
They won more trophies than Chelsea or Arsenal last season, came a very respectable third in the league, and have beaten most of the top sides at some point in the last couple of years. I think they are looking good for second in the league this year, and will go far in the Champions League, tough group or not. After all Spurs did well last year with a weaker team/squad than City, and City can essentially play a different side in the league to the Champions League, which will help them to stay fresh in all competitions.
Utd will be through with a skip and a jump.
Quite, easy group once again.
Chelsea to top their group despite some tough away matches- I think they will be too consistent over the 6 games to let one of the others past, though it will be a tight group between the top 3.
Arsenal to scrape through in second in their group... If they sign someone/anyone in the next few days!

I also find it interesting how all four of the English sides in Europa made it through last night, compared to the four Scottish sides who went out. I think the divide in both leagues here is quite a larger amount than any Celtic or Rangers fan is willing to admit to themselves.
I've tried to defend the Scottish league, but last night was indefensible. Celtic and Rangers have fallen back rapidly in the last couple of years, from being a constant presence in the Champions League (and usually threatening a last 16 spot) to not being able to compete in the Europa League... even Shamrock Rovers have made it into the group stages! There is no money in the Scottish league, and players don't want to play there if they can come South instead. While I still feel that Celtic or Rangers would be a threat in the Prem should they ever move, thanks to the dramatic increase in money that they would receive, they are a long long way from that at the moment.
Saying that Celtic aren't out of Europe necessarily, FC Scion are likely to be thrown out and Celtic reinstated. So they can go through the humiliation of losing to another side we've never heard of next round!
