A slow month for me, but goddamn it, I've seen pretty much everyone else's stats take a jump upwards. This isn't good... maybe I'm getting old...
DOUBT... from COOP? OMGz.
Nah, just statement of fact - I am getting old. Even writing this post, I'm getting older.
Let's not get into a statements of obviousness contest. #;-}>
Stat pull was done this afternoon. There's something else different about this update - I pulled and posted on the same freaking day. Wow.
Welcome to gfox style. Oldschool.
Heh. Well, I'm glad that I've been able to show another layer of promise in the gfox school of thought :)
Not really any thought involved, just the simple way to do it. Start. Keep going till you finish.
Your multi-day technique is actually well more thought-out. Which is better is a matter of opinion. Depends on when you're trying to update, for one thing.
Any time I ever took more than one day to update a list, it was because it was so mammoth (and obviously it was during manual tiems) that I couldn't finish it or couldn't bring myself to finish it the day I started...
Unless you count scanning for folks for the pentalist or VP list weeks in advance of an update. That was my only real strategy to save myself time and effort when the actual updates came due. #;-}>
Of course he has. It's much more difficult to pass active users. You might as well try to nail the ocean to the wall than try to go out there and pass people like Afro_Stud in one day.
Well sure, but Afro himself did it pretty quick to the folks who used to have the hilltop to themselves. #;-}>

Ah, so we're seeing a permanent retirement figure for you emerging?
Indeed. This is me heading to my final B/P goals.
I guess Coop didn't see the discussion you and I had like... 2 months ago or so about how you were gonna do the 77777ness. #;-}>

Coop's list update #06
Best update till #36.
Yes, but #7 was even better. Also, if you really want to see the 36th update, you'll have to wait 2 1/2 years for Coop to make it, but will Coop still be updating the Top Blammers List by then?
STAY TUNED.
And no, #7 was NOT better than #6. It's a higher number, that's all. But 6 was EARLIER, hah!
You could pick worse numbers to love. 5 by 7 is a good 'un. A solid odd number. One of the ol' -5ers.
And you don't like the number 7. :(
I don't HATE 7, dude. I just don't love 7. 7's okay. But it's one of my least fave single digits. Fortunately, I don't hate any single digit. I hate larger combinations OF single digits that compound their ugly traits to me, I guess.
42, my second fave number after 36, is just 6 by 7, after all. Can't hate 7 when it forms part of great numbers.
Hey, here's another example of not only a 7 I find tolerable, but a 37!
When something ticks over from the glorious 36x range (which features some of my fave 3 digit numbers ever, such as 360, 365, and 369.... and is shortly after some other great ones like 321, 333, 342, 345) into the dreaded 37x range.... there is only one number I will enjoy for the next 10:
375
75 is a good number because it's 3/4 of the century mark, so even with the 3 in front of it, it's not as "37"y as other numbers containing 37. Kinda like 1337 that way, it's an exception to my aversion.
Haha, I didn't even think of YouPorn when I read the name YouPortal.
Well then, you're just not trying hard enough, then.

Ah, that was how you managed it. Good work, agent Bahamut.
Yeah, that bastard coerced me into posting on the 8th. And you CONDONE that behaviour? (gasps)
So sad... Oh well, at least it's a reachable figure for me :P
All you can think of when Bahamut tells you where he's retiring is "oh boy, that's where I'll pass him," eh? #;-}>
You'll have the joy of passing me much sooner than that, even.
Unless he's dead, he thinks so.
Huzzah.

Phantom recently blew by me in overall b/p, but I guess he passed me in blams quite a bit before that, since he was already over 37k last update of this list. My peaceful +000 retirement was not battered by the winds of rankdroppage this update, and that is nice.
But still, in a year or two, I'll be wishing I could trade my blamrank for my saverank. I think it blows that this list will be the last of the top 50s my account remains in (when it comes to b/p-related top 50s, I mean) even though I won't have blammed for years and years longer on it than I had (not) saved on it. ;_;

Woot.
Well, this could have turned out worse. I think I can predict being a top 100 Blammer within a day or two, dependant upon the status of the portal over that time, though I have been steadily averaging over 10 Blams per day over the past 2-3 weeks.
What will I get first? Top 100 or Level 40?
Coop out.
Maybe I scanned and skimmed too much, but since a simple glance at your profile shows you've gotten both already, just a few days later.... I'm left wondering... which DID you get first then, eh? #;-}>
I'll bet it was the top 100.
