My parents haven't forced me to go to church for years now. In fact, they pretty much let me start doing what I wanted as soon as I had been confirmed. which is, in my opnion, the best way to do it. I'm not obligated to carry on being a Catholic just because I have been touched by the holy water.

I like the cathloic religion too.

I'm Catholic and my rules go as such:

"Do onto others as you would have them do to you"

Also, not all atheists are athiests because of the way you described them, in fact most are atheists because they have common sense and can see no real proof of God's existence and can see that science has answers that actually make sense - proof!

I know it's not meant to be like that, but, quite simply, it is. Religion is also the main (by far) cause of wars. Look at terrorism, for example. Or the crusades.

I can totally see why that would piss anybody off. For some reason the leaders of our church find it nesscary to market our religion to people. It's bullshit they claim their spreading the word of god but in reality their just annoying the fuck out of everybody. I'd have to say that 98.9% of the world knows what catholicism is...mission accomplished as far as speading the word goes in my book, lets calm the fuck down.

While I'm generally against all authoritarian religions, I do respect catholicsm at some points, one major plus being that you no longer try to fight science, as it's a dogma that there is no point trying to deny what science knows about the universe or evolution.

But I find it disturbing that you somehow equate Homosexuality and bestiality.

Actually, according to Church doctrine - homosexual urges and desires are not necessarily sinful, as they are seen to beyond one's control. If you look at it this way, it could be argued that the Vatican believes homosexuality is not a choice.

From a fixed point of view, yes. The problem with homosexuality isn't that people find men putting their cock in a guy's arse disgusting, it's that homosexuality doesn't promote procreation, and neither does beastiality.

I'm a catholic, believe if you are a good person you will go to heaven, no matter what your religion is or if you even believe in god or not. I also believe that same sex couples should have the right to get married, because marriage is a form of expression and under the constitution you have the right to free expression.
