In my psychology class today, we decided to take the day off to discuss homosexuality.
We got into the gay circle and chatted, whatever.
Ultimately, no one had a problem with homosexuals.
At some time in the discussion we had a disagreement as to whether or not it's a biological situation, if it occurs at birth, etc.
My feelings on that matter are that, if it is biological, I have no problem with it. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not gonna stop anyone or complain, etc.
HOWEVER, if it's a conscious choice or whatnot, I have a great many problems with it.

My personal opinion on the matter is that if you live in a world, or better yet, are a part of a species that allows for one to have feelings about the same sex, then it is your choice based on what you would rather believe what your sexual preference is. If feel like you are homosexual; go for it.
I'm ragging on anyone in this thread, but I can't stand it when people shove their opinions down your throat. I find it fine and mighty to express your own opinions, but people need to have respect for other people's beliefs and decisions.

So many people when talking about sexual preference seem to think that if it's not defined biologically, it's therefore indisputably a conscious choice. I don't understand this.
It's a conscious choice whether they embrace their sexuality and act upon it, but the fact that they are homosexual is most likely a psychological phenomenon caused by any number of social(or otherwise) factors.
