Another teen suicide...

I just found out a couple minutes ago that this kid I know killed himself. No one was ever really nice to him but that's cuz he was so stuck-up but he didn't really seem to care. He was about 2 years younger than me but he skipped a grade. He usually sat with us and we made fun of him for being so young... I'd been to his house once for a project. He seems spoiled and happy. Had the entire DBZ series on tape... Every video game system and during the whole pokemon ordeal he had the most cards... No one in the history of our school has ever committed suicide. I feel bad for not feeling worse.

Bugger off. He didn't see it coming ("no one in the history of my school") and this is obviously some kind of penance for his oversight. Death may be nothing new to you or I, but it obviously is to him. If lashing out at him makes you feel all smug, you're just as bad as "the kind of moron that litters my school and home."

It sucks to have that guilty feeling of not feeling worse. When my dad had his stroke when I was 13 it hardly fazed me. I sat around wondering why I was not moved to tears. I felt selfish and unworthy of my father. The guilt sucked.

I still wonder why. Maybe I don’t feel certain things as intensely as others do.

about a month ago, june 11th, one of my close friend's brothers died.

he was a good friend of my older brother and i knew him pretty well, and thought he was a really cool guy

well, the day after it happened my math teacher was explaining that he was depressed, and sudgested that he may have commited suiced

i had this weird feeling for the rest of the day, because before that all i knew was that he was out hiking and fell off a cliff

i felt alot better to find out that he didn't commit suicide, but the feeling is much more different when somebody you know dies, then it is when you think they commited suicide

I knew a kid when I was younger who died. I was about 6 and was about 4. He didn't know how to swim and one night he got up and went to his backyard and fell into his pool and drowned.

About 3-4 years ago the girl I was somewhat in a relationship with at the time had a freak car accident and died in the hospital 2 days ltr. I mean, it was so long ago and we didnt know each other that well, but it REALLY hit home. I had fallen into a depression which must have lasted like 2-3 months. I know wat its like to suddenly lose sum1 u noe, so i offer my condolences, even though you really arent that affected by it.

I feel for the person who started this post, even if they didn't really like the guy to begin with. I think that almost everyone will deal with a suicide at some point in their lives, not that you personally know that person, never the less it will effect you and impact your life. Cut him some slack, at least it meant something to that person to post here and get feedback, and maybe help them deal with it. I know what it's like to see suicide and came very close to doing it myself as a "survivor's guilt" so they say, set in from being in the military and seeing a few friends die. It sucks, but life goes on, do the best you can poster... We're here to help (the Newgrounds fam, so to speak). Take care to all that post here after me.

Seriously, I don't think you had much, if anything to do with it. Sometimes I think that the only reason I didn't commit suicide when I was a kid was that I wasn't about let anyone think they drove me to it, nor was I going to give the bastards of my ninth grade class the pleasure of seeing me dead.

I was made fun of in school, all the way from kindergarten all the way till I graduated and went to college. Everybody made fun of me and even the teachers, supervisors and Principles made fun of me like a bunch of school kids and pretty much gave tacit approval to every single punk and bully in school to do whatever the hell they wanted with me. And in case they actually try to help me, they'd just wave a finger and say 'never do it again' in a very gentle manner and then pull me aside and bitchslap me in front of everyone for 'wasting' the supervisor's time.

I had to change schools 4 times for this reason. There were times when I wanted to kill myself and I even fanatasied on blowing the place up. Fortunately, it never happened, but there were times when I smile at school shooters who kill their bullies. Not Columbine style mind you, those guys killed the place for 'fame and glory' and not revenge.

Sometime last year, this guy commited suicide. He went to my school, but I didn't know him. He hung himself. Ugh, I could never kill myself.

me and you both mate. i have never cried over anything, (except when i was a kid obviously) even the deaths of my cousin, my aunties, my uncle, my parents break up. nothing. when my parents used to fight, i would just sit and laugh. it was hysterics, but when you cant help it, its realy scary. so dont feel bad about not feeling worse, only do that if it was your fault, and from what ive read, its not.

I was moved up a year a few weeks after i moved into my new school in spain, for the first year it was pretty shit, because everyone in the class were 'cool' and looked down on me cos i was the youngest, it would be pointless to try and hang out with them and look like a geek. But the next term was much better, with all the n00bs coming in, and since i was in a class a year above me, i started to be like them, not like the crazy year 8's i was supposed to be in.
