most of your stuff is pretty cool, i honestly think the lack of lines suits your style, the softer edges help embrace the simplistic nature to most of your characters, and give them more of a smooth graphic style, i'd stick to the lineless

larger difference between dark and light? dunno...

and to Rion-hunter... never noticed a harry potter influence, it used to be Vasquez-based... and it's because the character you're thinking about (big glasses) is me... and i've been told i look like the book's description.

as for animations, i've got no patience for them... i usually walk away from a pic at least 5 times before it's done. (as i'm doing now with the previous pic)

yeah, i just can't decide... unfortunately, each time i try a new style, i add a new bit of detail, more definition in the face, more accurate shadows... and i fool myself into thinking each new medium is actually better than the last.
it's not, and if i were to go back to... say, the style i used in the first picture (background jitter on the brush)... it'd rival the stuff on this page.
