Flash is fing up when editing clip

Ok, so recently, flash started fucking up when I double click a movie clip on the stage. You know how that dotted line rectangle enlarges then you can edit the clip? Well...that takes a freaking eternity.

If you don't know what I'm talking about I can try to explain more.

It didnt always do this...it started randomly one day...

That happens to me too! Usually when i have very little memory in my PC. I suggest you clean your computer and free some space so that flash can work smoothly!

This computer is brand new. There is nothing TO clean up.
2 gigs of ram, 1.8ghz duel core processor 250gb hdd @7600rpm, 28gigs occupied.

Well is it an over complicated movie clip?
What's in it?
Is it inside of another or several other movie clips?
Is it a traced bitmap?

Do you happen to have Vista?
This started for me also once I adopted Vista, now I just select the movie clip from the library, opens like normal, double clicking the actual movie clip and watching that box expand is so annoyingly long...

Maybe you have a virus.

Things to try:
Exiting all other non essential processes and programs.
Exiting Flash and opening it again.
Rebooting your computer.
Uninstall Flash and re install it.

omg...he said it was a brand new computer, if he has a virus already, thats a little unlikely.

Like I said, I have the same issue. No viruses, I keep my computer clean, and its not even 2 months old.
