So I am currently a junior in high school and haven't met anyone that i find attractive, more than lust. So i recently met this girl named Ronnica, she is amazing. I REALLY like her but... she is a senior, she has a boyfriend, and she is moving to Arizona for college after this school year.
We eat lunch together, we share 3 classes together and she is herself and so am i. We get along great and i think she likes me.
So this dance called "Sno-ball" is coming up. Her boyfriend has graduated already and says that he doesn't want to go, "I don't want to do the high school thing again", so i asked her to the dance.
She didn't seem awkward afterwards and she seemed quite happy but didn't answer. We have known each other for 2 months now. Was this a horrible idea?
I think it was a risky move. If it pays off, then congratz. It was ballzy either way.

You should have honestly asked her as friends.
Maybe she does realise that she likes you but loves her boyfriend and doesn't want to ruin that relationship by going with you. People do talk after all, if you you two have a good time he would likely get jealous and break up with her. You shouldn't try anything with this girl until her and her boyfriend split. Maybe it won't happen, but you shouldn't be the reason for a break up.
If you want to go with her, say you want to go with her AS AFRIEND nothing else, she might like that.

Hmm, well if she doesn't answer you about it, then let it go, she probably doesn't want to, if she goes to this dance and you do to, you can be there together but not formally if that makes sense.

So she's moving to Arizona after HS, right? Is her BF there? Will he go there, if not? And if not, has she hinted that they'd do the LDR thing? Because if not, all bets are off, quite frankly. You guys are still young, and hardly anyone gets serious right out from high school anymore.
It's just a dance. So if she says sure, then go have fun. If not. don't fret it. There will be other girls.
It might've been because she's still with her boyfriend. IMO, it was good to ask, because you would never know if you didn't, and for now on, don't be persistent and pushy about it.
