Anyone ever play that game?Ive been playing it recently and does anyone agree with me that towards the very end it starts getting very very weird?Like the colonel calling in all the time and saying to turn off the console and talking bout saving myera or something?

mgs 2 is god damn brilliant. i know it get's all WIERD, but look up some articles explaining what's going on and you'll apprecaite it more.

also all this shit ties directly into mgs4 so its good to understand

The colonel is actually just an invention of a computer program in the supercomputer (GW i think) in Arsenal Gear, and the virus you uploaded (or at least tried to) is corrupting the system, and therefore, screwing up Colonel.

Metal Gear Solid is the only work of fiction to ever mix eyepatches, ninjas, cyborgs, psychic powers, a very serious story, and random gags without being either stupid, obscure, or both.
As for the gags, play Snake's part in MGS2, go up to one of the pinup posters in the lockers, and go into first person view. Then talk to Otacon.

It's fun doing that in MGS1 and 2. More so 2 because the Colonel says something along the lines of "If you feel satisfied, you can go on with the mission.

I thought it was cooler than the rest of the game. The whole game's story line was so fucking retarded--vampires and shit. But the end was kinda trippy so I liked it.

Plus the sword fight. That was cool too.
