That's kind of the point I was trying to make. Those Blue and Green tabs above the New Submissions should be used a lot more. Although, it's going to be hard to calculate a good song from a bad from it's opening 2 hours or so. That might just be me though, since I don't get many reviews on my hour or less time on the New Submissions.

We need more audio mods.

I've already asked Wade and he said he'll consider since the ones we have are lazy assholes who won't do shit no matter which mod I ask.

Sick and tired of running into stolen submissions daily, I'm the only one that ever flags them. Look, I have a garbage whistle now, because you won't do your jobs.

Idk, this is kindof like icing on the cake, but perhaps the music visualizer could have an option to be able to play the flash movies/games that song is featured in?

Also, I'm very interested in my fanbase, and I like to know who's new. perhaps you could add a (1 new) in the account front page, and have a (New!) or something next to the name of the new people?

The same thing for review responses would be nice.

Also rather state of the art and more of icing on the cake, perhaps a collab search would be nice. Have people be able to post a collab wanted or something form with contact information that they are willing to provide, genre, a brief description, and you could search by those criteria.

Audio batting average.

None of these are absolutely necessary, but they would certainly provide a great incentive to stick around.

Perhaps also, although not related entirely to the audio portal, as people gain experience, say every five or ten levels, or once their batting average is at a certain point, they can change to a different, perhaps more maneuverable skin just on their userpage that their fans would be able to enjoy.

this is a rather minor thing to point out - and it might have been pointed out already - but the layers don't work properly after you respond to a review.

You know how when you click respond - and that little box drops down - and then you respond and it goes up again? Well it displaces everything.. and sometimes your text will go to the top of the page.. although I think that only happens on your news page.. not sure tho.

So with all these awesome (some less) improvements I'm hearing, I would like to contribute with the thinking. So I had this idea that you're able to add you stuff to collections.

Why would I want this? Because some people make little series and it keeps stuff organized. For example, I make a lot of piano stuff, but also some other stuff. If people only want to listen to my piano they just can select the collection on my (user) audio page.

That's what genres are for. However, with people like CYBERDEVIL who just want to spam the AP, it will really be abused!!

I didn't mean as on the FP but like you have multiple albums for yourself.No new genres or anything

Did anyone come with the idea to have a "Newgrounds Music Player" yet?

Ever since Newgrounds came with the visualisation screens I had the idea. The idea would be that when you submit a song, it comes with an URL, which you can put on profiles even outside of Newgrounds and it'll play your music on there.

I'd love to have that option.

Like myspace has it setup or mp3 embeded url playlists would be nice addition

I mentioned in another forum that maybe the top songs should be determined by reviews instead of score. This way, zero bombers actually wouldn't have much of an effect unless they left a review.

Songs that get featured get a lot more reviews than those that don't - if this was the case the top songs would never ever change. They'd just keep being re-featured. The system doesn't suck - people suck. People seem to have a hard time figuring that out.

genre next to each track on the front page of the AP so that more people will look at recent tracks rather than being put off by having to go through each one to find a genre they like

I never thought of that. If only there was a way to filter out all those n00bs. Also, do the "more latest submissions" and "more best tracks" buttons work? I didn't know if it was a problem with my internet or the site.

thats ALL the genres i think should be included. selection for SUBGENRE is most important. So if i choose the metal category, i can filter the list further with death, black, heavy, etc...

Thank you navij- that draft took me hell of a lot of time, I had to download photoshop for mac to get it done before Christmas :P

Also a very rough draft on a minor aesthetic change... I think it looks sweet, but you people might disagree. Other kinds of numbers could be used- and a bit more space between the 1-5 numbers and headphone icons. I just thought of it because I'd like the actual ranks to show up, rather than a random list of songs... or something.

I don't think they'll ever implement this, because it would take votes away from the Flash portal - the focal point of this site.

Letting people gain experience by voting is a good way of making the Audio Portal more popular, but it would take some popularity away from the Flash Portal of coarse. So how bout' after voting on 5 flash submissions, the box that opens up would say:

"Thanks for voting, <place name here>! Your experience has been automatically deposited!

The more experience points you have, combined with BLAM and PROTECTION points, the more your vote is worth! You may also go to the Audio Portal for 10 more point as well!"

This would attract many people to the Audio Portal and let the Flash Portal keep it's popularity! It would also lessen the effect of of 0 bombers because there would be so many other votes.

My biggest complaint is with people who zero rate songs to advance themselves. I suggest that songs alternately be ranked by review scores, so inaccurate ratings there would be noticed and reported.

well the layer problem is still an issue in the audio portal - minor ugliness when you respond to a song - maybe it's just an ie issue.

But the single most annoying problem I have encountered is the review notification - and I will whine, and whine, and whine about it until something is done to fix it! >:(

As a lot of you know - I have a LOT of congs - not as much as zenon and thecomet - but still a lot. And I check my reviews as much as I can - sadly - sometimes I do have a life - and cant check them for 3-4 days at a time.

Now this wonderfully implemented review system tells you "you have such and such new reviews since 2 or 3 days ago!" which is fine - IF you check your reviews DAILY and are some sort of MACHINE.. however - if you DON'T check your reviews 2-3 days since said date - it tells you - you have ZERO new reviews - AND if you DO respond to said reviews within that 2-3 day period - it STILL says you have those new reviews.

All I ask - is for every song to tell you HOW many songs you have that are UNREVIEWED. In my eyes it doesnt seem to be too difficult - a boolean indicator even - no review - notify and add review as new - respond to review - subtract notification.

I just recently responded to a review from like.. NOVEMBER and I felt really bad..

I dunno - I'm all for the changes - it just seems like some things really need to be tweaked still.

We need moar quality control, normal people can't tell if a song is a exact midi rip or if it's made in a duplo. This would filter out alot of the shit on here and therefore good producers tracks will stay on the recently submitted list and get more views, votes, downloads and reviews.

Submit Breakbeat under dnb. Electronica does not exist as a genre. It's simply a pressword. Probably better that it doesn't exist. Check under "Downtempo" for the desciption. Its not actually downtempo, he just had space there.
