Nobody will remember you as a spammer either, they won't remember you as the meme whore, and they won't remember you as the great poster with great grammar. Some people may remember one or two threads upon hearing your name, if you're REALLY lucky.

If you're on the BBS trying to obtain a level of famous I suggest you stop now.

Posting is about trying to make a witty original comment once in a while, or help somebody out. It's not about bitching at the Russian guy who can't formulate sentences properly. It's not about being somebody that only ever posts "lol" "fail" "barrel roll" and "grab his cock".

Well, I can name a lot of people who fit into each of those categories, but that may be because I went and became more social with a specific group of users, and that significantly helped me recognize more people on the BBS.

Yeah I've seen it as well. Mostly I just ignore them, because they're usually the group of people who end up getting ban hammered a lot. I try to filter out the shitty users, but sometimes thats hard to do here.

Particularly today, I've noticed plenty of people making really lame topics that look like a sad attempt to get recognition. Over the last month I've been lurking a lot more and in general whoring my operating system because that's the only thing that I find worth posting.
