this is my first thread that was past 3 pages...and about a page of that was fighting (im not complaining, its kinda fun to read, like a book) anyway, i decided to make the black parts shinier than earlier hinted, and ill leave a checkpoint in half an hour

anyone know if microsoft expressions would be good compared to photoshop? my mom can get it for like 20 bucks through connections, but i want to know if its useful at all

In my opinion, if it has a visible layer sectioning and basic painting tools it should be fine. Also, at that cheap price compared to photoshop, I'd take that over the expensive product.

Besides, you're only using the brush and smudge tool with great results. I'm pretty sure MS Expressions has those tools.

anyway, checkpoint, i gtg to sleep, in the end i will post 2 pics, 1 with the black outline and another w/o the black outline, then add effects and stuff to make it seem more natural, so when this ones done, keep an eye out on this cause the second one will take a bit longer, not much though hopefully.

that color wouldnt match the design i was going for, too much green...now silver however, ill have to think about that, cause i want it there as an organic sorta peice, like human muscle, but not really just reminds ppl of it..

but that silver...imma have to assess that after i add everything (so its not too much with the metal added)

well i guess that was my checkpoint, i had to work on some fla, so i didnt get anything else done. oh well

k i have an option that i cant decide on, metal is a curious element, and i want to know if i should make it dark, light, add some tone to it...so far i have it a heavy mix between light and dark, which is quite reflective, but i want to know if its better to have it dark, light or what...so anyone want to input?
