How am I supposed to ''Engage in intelligent conversation'' and at the same time be active when out of each 100 topics that the moderators let slide in General, 1 is not total crap made out of boredom?

People need to see the difference betwen what is funny and what is stupid. And to be sincere, I am not suprised it isn't like that because it has been confirmed that 1/4 (to say the least) of Newgrounds are 10> years olds lying about their age or just not inserting it at all (there are many proofs and confessions out there).

Now, I am not trying to say that we should be all serious asses all the time, but there is a time and place to joke around and there is one to actually use the brain. However, this is not done like that. Actually, out of 30 replies in a serious thread, 20 are lame jokes and 4chan references.

Then, you may ask, why not go to the Politics forums if you are looking for serious discussions? Well, I posted a topic there that roughtly got 15 views and got down to the bottom, due to the little amount of people that are active there.

I don't want to make this look like a complain, but rather a demand to the users to think well the topics you are making and to actually put something interesting in them worth reading and replying; and to the mods to be a little more strict in the amount of crap you let trough. It will be all for the better at the end.

My advice is to make more and more intersting threads (General or Politics, whatever). By creating a lot of topics or serious debates, you should get the attention you need for your threads to be active.
If you can't stand the jokes, then lurk elsewhere but General section.

Actually, I was just thinking that it might be an option, but I think everybody should put their little sand grain and bring some common sense. Also, I am not looking for attention, I'm just looking out for something actually funny or interesting.

It's not that I can't stand them, it's just that most of they are simply lame. We would be better without those in the way occupying space.
